"For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour..."
1 Thessalonians 4:2-4

I read of a 'pastor' of a megachurch (Baptist!) who recently proclaimed that the Bible does not say anything against premarital s*x. His message was, if you love each other, it's ok; the Lord will bless your relationship.

Apparently his version of the Bible skips the above verses.

Christians, regardless of your age: follow God's Word, not man's opinions, and live a holy life that is pleasing to God. He truly does care what we do with our body.

All are invited to the Anniversary Celebration of Grace Baptist Church in Malden, Missouri! Armed with the conviction that God wanted an independent Baptist church in the community, as well as a burning desire to see souls saved, Steve and Traci Childers planted a church in Malden three years ago. God has done great things there, and He hasn't stopped yet! May 4th, with services beginning at 10 AM, through the afternoon. Food, of course, is provided!

In Matthew 21:10, we read that "all the city was moved" as Jesus came into the city. People knew when Jesus showed up! By surrendering to God and letting the Holy Spirit work through us, we can see our neighborhoods, our cities, and even our nation be moved towards Christ. It begins with us......is your heart moved?

"Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Jeremiah 1:4-5

"O God, Thou are my God; early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see Thy power and Thy glory, so as I have seen Thee in the sanctuary." Psalm 63:1-2

Simply put, David had a desire for God, just as a starving person wants food.

Do you have that same desire for Him?

Nahum 1:7 tells us that the Lord is good, which is evident as we see how He provides the many blessings we enjoy. When we turn to Psalm 107, there is a repeated urging to praise Him for His goodness: in verses 8, 15, 21, and 31, we see it is written, "Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!" There are many reasons to praise Him, yet verse 9 stands out: "For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."

Join me in praising the Lord for meeting our needs the way He always does!

Hey! Do you like good news? Try this verse and see if it fits the bill..."Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13

To be FULL of God's joy and peace, and to ABOUND in His hope!

Wow!

If you have any questions about how to have that hope, send a message to us.....we'll point you in the right direction! Jesus!

Happy First Day of Creation Day!

According to Jewish tradition, today, the 25th of Elul, marks the first day of Creation! "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

Yet, the Jewish New Year doesn't start until the 6th day, the day Adam was made a living soul. Known as Rosh Hashana (Sept. 26-27, 2022), this day is called both the Day of Remembrance and the Day of Judgement. The Jewish people review their behavior from the previous year, as well as renew their relationship with with God.

We Christians would do well to self-examine our lives to see if our behavior is fitting for a born-again believer, and then renew our commitment to our Lord by daily presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip..."

Hebrews 2:1

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you,"

Ephesians 4:32

"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
