I was looking at Judges 2:10-13. 10 that whole generation also gathered with their ancestors. After them, another generation rose up who did not know the Lord or the works He had done for Israel.
11 the Israelites did what was evil in the Lord's sight. They worshipped the Baals (other gods) and abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of Egypt. They went after other gods from surrounding peoples and bowed down to them. They infuriated the LORD, 13 for they abandoned Him and worshipped Baal and the Ashtoreths (other gods and idols). This passage of scripture caused me to think that we have a generation that is killing one another because they do not know God. It is hard for them to learn about God when their ancestors have forgotten about God. How can they hear about God when the testimonies have changed and trust has turned inward? 15 whenever the Israelites went out, the LORD went against them and brought disaster on them, just as He promised and sworn to them. So they suffered greatly. Something to chew on.
