Plato's CAVE of the Houston Methodist Medical Center has been utilizing the most recent and advanced technology to enhance the quality of diagnostic imaging. The multidimensional representations of patient scans allows a doctor or surgeon to visualize patient conditions by stepping into the images, themselves. The research facility is based on the allegory of Plato's cave and how easy it is to miss a big part of the picture if you don't look close enough.
