Here are the discussion questions below from the Retreat. Erica reminded us every session how important spending time in the Word is and reflecting on our personal walk with the Lord. These questions can be used a few at a time by yourself or get with a friend to do them. Read Ruth again, go over your handout, look at Proverbs 31. Just 10 verses a day can change your life.
Session 1.
Ruth
Ruth chose to stay with Naomi when she had every reason to leave. What does that teach us about surrender?
Why is surrender often most difficult during seasons of loss?
Ruth left her homeland, her culture, and her security. What “familiar places” has God asked you to leave?
How do we know when loyalty is obedience versus unhealthy attachment?
What fears tend to resist surrender in your life?
Reflection: Is there an area where God is asking you to trust Him without a clear outcome?
Session 2
Worship as a Lifestyle
How can everyday tasks (laundry, work, caregiving, errands) become acts of worship?
What would a “lifestyle of worship” look like practically in your schedule?
What shifts when you see your responsibilities as sacred rather than routine?
What distracts you most from being mindful of God during the day? Or
What currently has the most of your attention and affection?
How can gratitude transform mundane moments?
How can community strengthen personal worship?
Reflection:
Is there anything you’ve unintentionally placed above God?
What is one tangible step you can take this month to cultivate daily worship?
Session 3
How Happy am I Supposed to Be?
When you think of “happiness,” what comes to mind?
How did your family or upbringing shape your expectations about being happy?
Do you feel pressure (from culture, church, social media, family) to appear happy?
What’s the difference between happiness and joy?
Is it realistic — or even biblical — to expect constant happiness?
Reflection:Have I confused happiness with spiritual maturity?
Session 4
Walking in the Spirit and Why
How can you discern the Spirit’s leading versus your own emotions?
What are practical ways the Spirit speaks (Scripture, conviction, peace, wise counsel)?
Have you ever ignored a prompting? What was the result?
What tends to drown out the Spirit’s voice in your life?
How can stillness create space for spiritual sensitivity?
Reflection:
Is my spiritual life intentional or reactive?
How would your home, workplace, or church change if you consistently responded instead of reacted?
Session 5
Do What you Do with Integrity
A Lifestyle of Integrity
How would you personally define “integrity”?
What’s the difference between reputation and integrity?
Why do you think integrity is harder to maintain in private than in public?
Who is a woman you admire for her integrity? What specifically stands out about her life?
What areas of life most challenge your integrity (work, relationships, finances, social media, church, etc.)?
Reflection:
Am I more concerned with being impressive or being consistent?
What small daily practice could strengthen your character?
If your life were an open book, would you feel peace or panic?
Session 6
What does it look like to live in community?
What makes it hard to be honest about struggles?
What fears keep women from fully engaging in community?
Have you ever experienced healing through sharing your story?
What’s the difference between being around people and truly being known?
How can comparison sabotage authentic relationships?
What would it look like to show up without pretending?
How has your view of community changed over time?

Am I pursuing convenience or Godly relationships?
