We know how to seek God when we need something.

Healing. Direction. Provision. Deliverance. Confirmation. Breakthrough.

But what happens when we enter His presence and ask for nothing?

There is a difference between seeking His hand and seeking His face.

> “You have said, ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, LORD, do I seek.’” — Psalm 27:8, ESV

Today, we're beginning these 90 days by getting the order right: Presence before promise. Relationship before request. Him before what He can do.

TODAY'S CHALLENGE

Give God 15 uninterrupted minutes.

Don't bring the list.
Don't ask Him to fix anything.
Don't ask for an answer.

Worship. Give thanks. Sit with Him. Seek Him.

Then ask yourself one uncomfortable question:

If God gave me nothing else today, would His presence be enough?

Rooted Relationships

The strongest relationships in your life are not built on convenience. They're built on roots.

Healthy relationships don't grow because people never disagree. They grow because both people are rooted deeply enough to weather disagreement without abandoning connection.

Just like trees in a forest strengthen one another through interconnected root systems, healthy people create environments where growth, healing, accountability, and encouragement can flourish.

If every relationship in your life is struggling, it may be time to inspect the roots:

Are they rooted in truth or assumptions?

In commitment or convenience?

In honor or control?

In healing or hurt?

The quality of our relationships often reveals the condition of our roots.

Healthy roots create healthy relationships. Healthy relationships create healthy communities. Healthy communities create lasting impact.

Most people think their future is determined by opportunity.

Every decision grows from a root.

Fear makes decisions. Faith makes decisions. Pressure makes decisions. Approval makes decisions. Wisdom makes decisions.

The question isn't simply, "What should I do?"

"What is guiding my choice?"

A rooted decision may not be the easiest decision. It may not be the fastest. It may not even be the most comfortable.

But rooted decisions produce rooted lives.

Because what you repeatedly choose becomes what you repeatedly build.

Check the roots. Choose wisely. Grow intentionally.

Not every struggling tree has bad roots.

Sometimes the roots are under attack.

A tree can look healthy above the surface while something underneath is quietly working against its growth.

Some attacks are obvious.

Others are hidden.

Drought.
Root rot.
Unhealthy influences.
Unseen damage.

The fruit may be struggling, but the real battle is often happening underground.

That's why growth isn't always about trying harder.

Sometimes growth begins by identifying what's draining you, weakening you, or stealing what should be helping you thrive.

The question isn't always:

"Why am I not growing?"

Sometimes the better question is:

"What is attacking my roots?"

Awareness leads to action.
Action leads to healing.
Healing leads to growth.

Resilience is rooted before it is revealed.

Most people think resilience is built in the storm.

It isn't.

The storm simply reveals what the roots have been building all along.

Storms expose:

- convictions,
- habits,
- beliefs,
- character,
- discipline,
- and identity.

The tree that survives isn't always the tallest.

It isn't always the most impressive.

It's often the one with the deepest roots.

When the wind blows... go
roots matter.

When pressure comes...
roots matter.

When life doesn't go according to plan...
roots matter.

The storm doesn't create resilience.

It reveals it.

What you've been building in private will eventually be tested in public.

And what is deeply rooted can withstand what is violently shaken.
