Our Golden Saints enjoyed another blessed monthly outing, spending quality time together, sharing stories, making memories, and celebrating God’s goodness in every season of life. It was a beautiful reminder that community is one of God’s greatest gifts.

Know His word + Trust His word = MOVE

Trust is defined as the reliance on and confident expectation of; hope. Is your trust in the Lord rooted in a firm foundation or quick sand? The only way to answer honestly is by looking at your actions. Just like a plant, a relationship thrives with certain characteristics. Our relationship with the Lord depends on US, God always does His part. Do you know that to be certain, do you know why and how you can put your faith in God? The more you learn about God and His word, the more trust you build in Him. That trust then is reflected in your actions. You move like you know something. You talk like there is endless possibility because nothing is too great for God. This verse of scripture says Gods word is the light that guides your feet, and a light for your path. Look at that clarity and certainty! Stop living like you are helpless, God has given you hope.

What can you offer God? We love to save receipts, build cases, and prove why we are valuable or why others should trust us or keep us around. These actions often get reflected in our relationship with God. We rest our problems at His feet to turn around and question if He really is capable of fixing our mountain of trials, providing Him with receipts as if He needs us to know what has occurred, and pick our problems back up as if He needs just a bit of help to work it out. We need reminders from time to time to realize our actions and know that there isn’t anything we can offer God that would help Him be God. God is God with us, without us, before us, and forever after us. When we lay our problems down, we must move like we know God is God and trust Him to be God.

The month of May was filled with learning, fellowship, encouragement, and plenty of smiles. We celebrated all that God is teaching us through His word. Thankful for our youth seeking Christ and enjoying the journey together!
