St. Mark's Houston

St. Mark's Houston Since 1939, we have ministered to the people of Houston. Located in the West University/Bellaire area, we are a diverse, inclusive community.

For more than seventy-five years St. Mark’s Episcopal Church has been a source of Worship, Welcome, Outreach and Formation for all of God’s people in response to our baptisms and our belief that we are to be a light to the world. We collaborate with our Bishop, our diocese, other Episcopal churches, and many service organizations to accomplish this mission. We seek to serve our city, our state, and our world. We are a church full of past accomplishment and future potential.

Summer is just around the corner and so is the start of new education opportunities! Sunday, June 7, will mark the start of two new Sunday education classes.

Sundays at 10:15 a.m. in Margaret's Parlor, the Rev. Jim Liberatore invites you to a weekly discussion called What Do Episcopalians Believe? This is a drop in class with unique topics from week to week based on An Outline of the Faith found in the Book of Common Prayer

Sunday evenings, the Rev. Will Parker invites St. Mark's 20s and 30s parishioners to join him from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Empire Cafe in Montrose for a four week study on Philippians. Please let Will know if you plan on being there for any or all of the studies by emailing him at [email protected].

Have we heard from you yet? Remember to take time this week to fill out your Holy Cow! Congregation Assessment Tool as we move forward in our first steps of finding a new rector for our parish. Your individual voice is an important part of painting a full picture of our church community.
