When a family in the ICU was preparing to say goodbye to their loved one, they requested a chaplain to be there with them.

The family had made the difficult decision to shift their focus to comfort measures, and in that moment, they needed someone to provide spiritual support and presence.

One of our Chaplains responded to the request and spent intentional time with what he described as a “beautiful family.”

This is the heart of our pastoral mission: being present with people through the full range of life, especially in moments of grief and loss.
