Our very own Bob Dierdorf submitted an original orchestration titled “The Oxen” to the Annual Choral Composition Competition held by the Houston Choral Society and his song WON!!! Tonight some members of the choir were able to attend the Houston Choral Society’s concert where they played and sang his winning original song! Congratulations Bob!!! We love supporting you (because you support us!!!) and we just adore you!! Our choir is so incredibly blessed to have you as a part of our music ministry team!! Way to go BOB!!!!!!

Okay, choir, was this not the best Chips and Dips Night ever? Thank you to the ladies who worked hard over the delicious HOMEMADE dips that had people coming back for thirds and fourths! And no double dipping thanks to our lovely servers. We missed you spring breakers but such a lovely time of fellowship and worship. Sorry I didn’t get enough pictures taken. I got sidetracked talking with you sweethearts. Can’t help it, we are family. ♥️♥️

Our Worship Choir was blessed to celebrate our annual CHOIR SOUPER BOWL PARTY last night! And it was 🎉🎉OUTSTANDING! 🎉🎉
There were gumbos, chili, soup, cornbread, desserts as far as the eye could see. There was a sweet time of fellowship and then the work began. Thank You, Lord that we get to gather every week to practice our music and offer up praise to You! ♥️🎶♥️

The word for our choir event last night was bittersweet. We celebrated Beth Straznicky’s retirement after 26 years serving as Worship Ministry admin. We honored her faithful service and how her all in work ethic touched the lives of countless people. And we cried because saying goodbye cuts deeper than we could have imagined.
Beth’s favorite color is purple 💜 so the choir was decked out in shades of purple. Her most loved food is Mexican, so the nacho bar was a must. And Jarritos. One of the first retirement destinations will be at the ranch where Jerry and Beth love to hunt, so her cake sported a lovely deer image.
We believe that God will supply our every need and we also know that there will never be another Beth Straznicky. 💟🎶🪻🍀🙏

Last night ushered in the very first Choir BAPTIST DRINK FEST! No need for clutching of pearls, it was a great array of soft drinks that Wayne personally assembled. 😊🧋
There was every kind of juice, cola, tea, health drink and sugary substance that could be bought.
And the best part of the evening was the fellowship and preparation for worship. How blessed is our choir?

The 2025 Build Your Own Ice Cream Sundae/Banana Split rehearsal is one for the books! What a great time of fellowship and fun. A few of y’all were camera shy but no one seemed shy about loving the ice cream! Thank you to Erica Stidham for sharing her gift of hospitality with the array of toppings and beautiful backdrop which read “We All Scream for Ice Cream”.
