Paschal Sermon of St. John Chrysostom -
"... Whoever has toiled from the first hour, receive today your just settlement. If any came after the third hour, celebrate gratefully. If any of you arrived after the sixth, have no misgivings, you have lost nothing. If some have been as late as the ninth, come forward, do not be at a loss. If any of you have arrived only at the eleventh hour, do not be dismayed for being late. The Master is gracious; He accepts the last even as the first;
He gives rest to those of the eleventh as well as to those who have labored from the first;
He is lenient with the last while looking after the first; to the one He gives, to the other He gives freely; He accepts the labors and welcomes the effort; honors the deed, but commends the intent. So, all of you, enter into the joy of our Lord: first and second, share the bounty…"

Through these words of St. John Chrysostom, our mother church appeals to you, beloved in Christ brothers and sisters, to invite you to a Common Prayer. And if you are a boy or girl, middle-aged or old aged, it’s never too soon or too late: - "For a generous ruler and the latter takes on a par with the first" (Iv.Zl.). I wholeheartedly invite you to visit our church because only when you see and hear for yourself, you can truly appreciate the beauty and majesty of the Byzantine rite.

We have something special coming to Pokrova this weekend. For the 65th anniversary of our eparchy, a special icon of our patron, the Theotokos under her holy protection, commissioned for our eparchy's 50th anniversary, has been making the rounds to our parishes in the eparchy. This Sunday, this icon will be coming to our parish. This is a particularly special occasion for us, as she is our parish patroness.

For more information on the icon, please see the following link:

Christ is Born! Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, With deep gratitude to God and sincere thanks to each of you, I address you at this special time for our Saint Nicholas Eparchy. It is together in faith, service, and love that we build our eparchy. This year, on July 14, we mark the 65th Message....
