About the Researcher
I am a doctoral student at the University of the Cumberlands. I am in the process of working toward my Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in finance. As one of the Lost Boys of South Sudan who arrived in the United States in 2001, I have explored American culture and its contrasts with my own background. I have studied financial practices, including budgeting and investment strategies, and examined the American education system's role in personal and professional development. This journey has enhanced my adaptability and deepened my appreciation for my heritage and my new environment's complexities. To date, I have nearly 15 years of public service experience. I am currently a Senior Revenue Agent at the U.S. Department of Treasury.
