Thanks to all who prayed with us for the TAP retreat last month! God answered in so many amazing ways! The Holy Spirit did move powerfully during our time together and Partners were refreshed and renewed, travel went amazingly well especially considering participants were converging on Greece from around the world, our retreat speaker (Trevor Hudson) did an amazing job, the Memorial Drive PC team did an incredible job coordinating the kids/youth program and all those precious MK’s connected beautifully with each other, we didn’t pass around any illnesses😊, Partners were blessed by the support staff who were there (counselors, life coaches, spiritual directors, etc.), the weather was great, and more. For those of us who were there, it was another Ephesians 3:20 moment … God doing “immeasurably more than all we could ever ask or imagine.” We know your prayers were a big part of this, so again, thank you!

Would you pray with us? Next month (May 17-23), the TAP community will be gathering for our triennial retreat in Greece. The purpose of this retreat is to refresh and renew the Partners and their precious kids as they engage in God’s mission. Will you join us in holding up every aspect of the retreat in prayer? Pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully during our time together, for smooth travel for all Partners and support staff (this is a key prayer request given the current war with Iran and its impact, including on air travel), for our retreat speaker (South African pastor Trevor Hudson), for the Memorial Drive PC Team coming to provide programming for all the kids and youth, that everyone would stay healthy, for support staff who will be serving the Partners (counselors, spiritual directors, life coaches), and more. The Joshua Project seeks to deliver accurate, accessible, and actionable data that shines a light on people groups with the least access to the gospel. One of their initiatives is the FPG Adoption and Matching System, which helps individuals, small groups, churches, organizations, and networks take a purposeful step toward a Frontier People Group through prayer, giving, and engagement. When adopters register a group, Joshua Project can help match them with participating organizations or networks already serving among that people group, making it easier to move from interest to meaningful connection.

Qualifications:

In recognition of International Women’s Day, we pause to honor the strength, courage, and faith of women around the world. In the Middle East, many women face immense challenges with resilience and quiet bravery. See a glimpse of God’s work through the eyes of a TAP Partner in the Middle East:

“We’re constantly amazed and awed by the women we meet here.” In a place where women don’t often have many rights, our Partner serves as a counselor, meeting with women who face incredibly difficult situations. “For example, if a woman is in an abusive relationship with her husband, she knows that if she chooses to leave him, normally she will not be able to see her children again.” Over and over, these women show strength and courage. These women embrace personal risk to share their Source of healing, love, joy, peace, and hope. God is redeeming even in the tragedies and drawing these women to Himself.

One of the women shares, “…I see…women suffering greatly, living under the shadow of hardship, displacement, and migration. But the Lord saw their hearts, chose them, opened their eyes, and used this hardship for their good”. This reminds us of what Joseph said to his brothers in Genesis 50:20, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

The women share that what touches their hearts is how God loves and values them and wants to give them freedom. The Good News is being shared in the community, Bible studies are being held by the women, and more are coming to believe. We’re thankful for these women who are standing firm, cultivating hope, and walking boldly despite great risk.

Please join us in praying for:

• Continued growth in faith
• That more people will come to put their entire hope and trust in the One who loves us and came to rescue us and give us hope.

Call to Prayer: As the war widens in the Middle East, TAP Partners from Iran shared these prayer requests and we invite you to join us in crying out to God for the following:

• Pray that innocent lives will be protected
• Pray that the structures of oppression will finally collapse
• Pray that justice will replace tyranny
• Pray for the underground church in Iran—that believers will remain steadfast and courageous
• Pray for God’s love, comfort, presence, and healing to be poured out in people’s hearts as they grieve those massacred in January, and reckon with the decades of trauma they’ve experienced under this regime
• Pray that in the midst of turmoil, many will encounter Jesus Christ, the true source of freedom
• Pray that a new future—marked by dignity, justice, and peace—will emerge for our nation
