Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering HE hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
This verse declares the power and perfection of CHRIST’S One Sacrifice: For by one offering HE hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. What a glorious truth! JESUS did not merely make salvation possible—HE accomplished it. By ONE OFFERING, HE has perfected forever those who are set apart unto GOD. This does not mean that we never grow in grace, but it does mean that in our standing before GOD, the work of CHRIST is complete, full, and lacking nothing. Hallelujah! What the law could never finish, JESUS finished forever through HIS Own Sacrifice. When we read this verse, our hearts ought to rejoice that our acceptance before GOD does not rest upon repeated works or human effort, but upon the Finished Work of JESUS CHRIST. Glory to GOD—by one offering, HE has done forever what no other sacrifice could or would ever do! There are those who are still practicing ritualistic animal sacrifices to no avail – this endeavor is dead to GOD because GOD already provided the perfect acceptable sacrifice through HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON JESUS.
