Why are Christians so intolerant?
That depends on what you mean by intolerant. If refusing to applaud what God calls sin is intolerance, then guilty as charged. But let's not pretend tolerance means truth doesn't matter. You want Christians to stay quiet, not because they're hateful, but because their message won't bow to your choices.
You say love accepts everything. Jesus says love tells the truth. He dined with sinners but never affirmed their sin. He offered mercy, but never at the cost of holiness. Real love doesn't lie to keep the peace. It tells the hard truth that leads to real peace.
The world demands silence in the name of kindness. But silence in the face of sin is not kindness. It's cowardice. Christians speakup because eternity is real. Sin is real. And Christ is the only hope. Maybe the issue isn't our voice. Maybe it's your conscience.
Love tells the truth, even when it's hard to hear. If l were intolerant, I wouldn't bother talking to you. True tolerance means respecting people, not endorsing every idea. Jesus wasn't intolerant; He was clear about the truth. I disagree with ideas, not with people. Tolerance doesn't mean silence. It means caring enough to speak up. If speaking the truth is intolerance, then call me guilty. I respect everyone, but l can't agree with everything.
Jesus loved people enough to tell them the truth. So do l. Intolerance would mean staying silent and letting you stay misled.
If l didn't care, I wouldn't share the truth at all.
Truth isn't intolerance; it's clarity.
Would you call a doctor intolerant for diagnosing an illness? True love doesn't affirm lies; it speaks the truth in grace. I'm intolerant of falsehood, not people. I value you too much to pretend lies are okay. Intolerance is forcing silence, not sharing truth. I'm here to help, not to harm-that's real tolerance.
