Socialism As A Biblical Principle of Increase? | The Clock S4 E152
What did Jesus actually teach about wealth, stewardship, productivity, and increase?
In this episode of The Clock, Pastor Rondy returns to the desk to address the rise of socialism and then takes the discussion directly to one of Jesus' parables: the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25.
The passage contains a provocative principle.
One servant received five talents and produced five more. Another received two and produced two more. But the servant who received one buried it rather than putting it to work.
Then Jesus says:
“Take therefore the talent from him…and give it to him who has ten talents.” — Matthew 25:28
And the next verse states the principle even more directly:
“For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance.” — Matthew 25:29
What does this teach us about stewardship, productivity, increase, wealth, work, and responsibility?
And how should Christians think about these principles when modern political systems debate wealth redistribution, socialism, capitalism, and economic equality?
This episode isn't simply about politics.
It's about what we do with what God has entrusted to us.
