Women’s Ministry: Exciting happenings in the life of Women’s Ministry at MDUMC! The Women’s Ministry Council has been busy brainstorming and planning for the year ahead. We have decided to not have the Women’s Dinner this fall in order to reevaluate the best timing for this wonderful event. Save those creative tablescape ideas for the future because we plan to have the dinner back – better than ever! Because of this move, we are excited and hopeful for a wonderful turnout to the 30th Anniversary of Hearts and Hands, our annual Holiday Market that supports women’s and children’s missions, October 24-26, 2016. Look for information online to volunteer and for Preview Party tickets that will go on sale this month. We are also thrilled to announce a day retreat on Saturday, November 5th at St. Luke’s UMC: “A Beautiful Creation”. Join us for a one-day retreat that explores God's desire for you to leave your creative mark in the world. Workshops include watercoloring, art journaling, prayer beads, photography, and knitting. A light breakfast and lunch are included. Nursery will be available and registration will open mid-September online. The cost will be $60. We are still planning a spring retreat and are looking to add more programming for women of all ages and stages.
