I am proud to announce that "A New Dress for Mona: Abridged One-Act Version" will be returning! Our cast and crew has been invited to present our production in Houston, TX. This play is inspired by the story of a young martyr: Mona Mahmudnizhad. Mahmudnizhad was executed alongside nine other women in Shiraz, Iran simply due to her religious beliefs on June 18, 1983. In light of the fortieth anniversary of her martyrdom, I am honored to share her story through a theatrical production. Please join us on Saturday, August 26th at either 2:30pm or 7:30pm. The House will open at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, there is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted the night of the performances. The Annual Election – Tuesday, April 19 – Houston Bahá’í Center – 6:30pm.

When called upon to vote in a Bahá’í election, believers should be aware that they are carrying out a sacred task unique to this Dispensation. They should approach this duty in a prayerful attitude, seeking divine guidance and confirmation. As Shoghi Effendi has advised, they must turn completely to God, and
with a purity of motive, a freedom of spirit and a sanctity of heart, participate in the elections.
