The ISKCON 60 Houston Gala was a great success as we celebrated Srila Prabhupada's legacy and 60 years since ISKCON was established in the West (USA) to spread the holy names and spread Krishna Consciousness.

Our heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone attending the ISKCON 60 Houston Gala, which was a memorable and spiritually uplifting celebration.

This event was not merely a gala, it was a glorious offering to Srila Prabhupada. The success of the evening reflected the sincerity, teamwork, sacrifice, and devotional spirit of so many devotees.

From weeks of planning and coordination to the countless hours spent on decorations, reception, logistics, dinner from Govinda’s and cleanup, every service showcased an expression of devotion.

We were honored to welcome devotees, community leaders, educators, government officials, and friends of ISKCON who joined us in celebrating the remarkable achievements of Srila Prabhupada and the worldwide Hare Krishna movement. The warmth and professionalism displayed by our team left a lasting impression on our guests. Thank you for the proclamations and resolutions.

Srila Prabhupada often taught that cooperation is the secret of success. Through the ISKCON 60 Houston Gala, you all beautifully demonstrated this principle in action once again. By working together with a common purpose, we were able to glorify Krishna and Srila Prabhupada while strengthening our temple community.
As Srila Prabhupada last instruction was: β€œYour love for me will be shown by how much you cooperate to keep this institution together after I am gone.”

May the devotional spirit cultivated through this event last evening continue to inspire us to work together in service to Sri Sri Radha Nila Madhava and for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada.

Jaya Jagganath, Baladev, Subhadra!!
Jagganath svāmī nayana-patha-gāmī bhavatu me

Who sometimes fervently plays His flute on the banks of the Yamuna river in Sri Vrindavana, who is like a bumblebee that blissfully tastes the lotus faces of the Vraja-gopis, and whose feet are worshipped by great personalities such as Laksmi, Shiva, Brahma, Indra, and Ganesha β€” may that Sri Jagannatha-deva be the object of my vision.

First day of (Purushottam) Month today!

Purushottam (Adhik) Maas is a rare (every three years) and sacred month named after Purushottam - the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna. It is a divine opportunity to deepen one’s spiritual life through prayers, reflection, chanting, hearing, and remembrance. During this holy month, even small devotional practices performed with sincerity can bring profound spiritual transformation.

Because this month is named after Lord , it is considered the most powerful time for purification. It is said that any spiritual activity - be it chanting, fasting, charity, hearing hari-katha, or devotional seva - performed during this month yields thousands of times more spiritual benefit than at any other time of the year.

From May 17 to June 14, 2026.
Ekadasis this month: 26 May (Padmini Ekadasi) and 11 June (Parama Ekadasi)

Jaya Shri Lord Nrsimha!
Nrsimha Chaturdashi Festival - with a Maha Nrsimha Yajna begins at 4 PM today. Yajna sponsorships are available.

"Lord Nrsimha – The Divine Protector

Today is a very auspicious day. We are worshiping Lord NαΉ›siṁhadeva. He is so important to our movement.

We pray to Lord NαΉ›siṁhadeva that He should kindly protect our devotion to our spiritual master and Lord Gauranga, to Sri Sri Radha and Krishna. When we say that Lord NαΉ›siṁhadeva gives protection, what is it that we want protected? We want our bhakti-latās to be protected. We want our devotional creepers to be protected.

We want the pure sentiments of a devotee, whatever there is of them in us, to be protected. This is why we pray to NαΉ›siṁhadeva.

Please protect our guru-bhakti.
Please protect our Gauranga-bhakti.
Please protect our Radha-Krishna-bhakti.
Please protect it from what? From unlimited problems, philosophical misconceptions, weaknesses of heart, material allurementsβ€”so many things.

Please protect us. Because only if You protect me and I have pure Guru-Gauranga-bhakti, pure Radha-Krishna-bhakti, can I do proper seva, can I serve nicely."

β€œHe reasons ill who tells vaishnavas die when thou are living still in sound! The Vaishnavas die to live, and living - try to spread the holy name around.”
- Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur

All of us here at Iskcon of Houston are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of HG Agnidev Prabhu, a lifetime servant of Srila Prabhupada and the holy names of Krishna.

His soulful Kirtan will be missed but the purity of the holy name sound (dhvani) will live on.

Agnidev Prabhu ki Jaya!
