Day 15 of \ A “Pic a Day!” to celebrate the 12 years of ministry that is “ Christian Songwriters in the Round.”
May I present Terrell Brinlee, a.k.a. This Intangible Existence. What can we say about Terrell, other than probably one of the most wonderfully human writers to ever cross the CSR threshold.

Day 12 of \ A “Pic a Day!” to celebrate the 12 years of ministry that is “ Christian Songwriters in the Round.”

This is one of the last pictures I have of Richard Savercool. We had an impromptu gathering of four members of CSR to play at the clubhouse in my neighborhood . It sits over water and has a deck that wraps around it. Richard had asked if he could do a sax solo. I wasn’t sure at first as to how this might fit in, or not fit in, but knowing Richard and trusting in his prowess, I said “sure!” He said he was going to improv for a couple of minutes and just let what was gonna come out, come out. When it was his time to play, he pulled his sax out of the case and everybody kind of ooo’d and aaah’d in anticipation. He asked the audience if it was ok with everyone, if he could look away from everyone while he played, in that it would help him focus. He turned, looked out the window with his back to everyone, and started to play softly, brushing the air with long sweeping strokes. It morphed into a beautiful melody, and landed softly, in the same way that he had begun. He turned back around to the loudest applause of the night. Halfway through his discourse, I stepped outside and snapped this picture of him looking in from the outside. Such was getting to spend time with a great and good Savercool.
