Copperfield Bible Church

Copperfield Bible Church Copperfield Bible Church is in Houston, TX. We seek to glorify God through in-depth Biblical proclamation. Sunday worship—10:45 A.M. See website for more.

“Copperfield” is a community located in the Cy-Fair area of Northwest Houston. Our church bears this name because it is where God has chosen to assemble this independent, evangelical, Bible believing body of believers who have a common love for Jesus Christ.

“Bible” describes the sole source for our faith and practice. Only through the teaching and application of the Bible will men and women com

e to faith and maturity in Jesus Christ. Our congregation is a diverse group of Berean-spirited believers striving to mature in the faith. While “Copperfield” and “Bible” were our choice in describing who we are, “Church” is God’s designation for an assembly of people called by his name. As a church we strive to exalt Jesus Christ in all that we do. Welcome to Copperfield Bible Church!

Well speaks to what we are seeing in Christ's preaching in Matthew, just now:

So go ahead, take a chance and let yourself feel bad for the bad stuff you’ve done. Own it. Admit it. Turn from it. Then run to Christ.

No Christmas = no Good Friday, and thus no Resurrection Day...and no forgiveness, redemption, life or hope.

But Christ has come! Christ has fulfilled all righteousness, Christ has died for His own, Christ has risen, Christ has ascended, and Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who draw near to God through Him.

Merry Christmas!

Well, our church was vandalized again. Sad; if he'd just waited a few hours, he could have walked right in an open door and heard about the glories of Christ, the savior of sinners!

Someone new to pray for. God knows his name.

The word "head" can have various nuances in the Bible. Referring to Christ, it means the leader, the ruler or authority (1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18). It can mean first in line (Amos 6:7), and other nuances.

When Paul speaks of the helmet of salvation, what is its role? What is the significance of the "head" of a soldier or participant in battle? What does he likely have in mind?
