HISTORY:
In 1951, several children started holding Sunday School classes on their own even though there was no minister. Halbrook, who had held Church services one Sunday a month in Clara, asked to come and preach. The Church for the first time had a pastor. He preached for about a year, and as a result of a Revival Meeting, conducted by Rev. Ha
lbrook in November of 1954, it was decided to organize a Baptist Church. On December 5, 1954, The Clara Missionary Baptist Church was organized with the assistance of twenty one other churches. Over the years, there have been many ministers at the church.
