Our last week in our “Great Adventure” sermon series reminded us that purpose isn’t found, it’s lived.

Pastor Chris challenged us with a simple truth: purpose is discovered in obedience, one “yes” at a time. God has already called us to love Him, love people, and make disciples—now we’re invited to live it out.

Like Abraham, Peter, and the disciples, we don’t always see the full plan, just the next step. And that’s where faith grows.

It’s not about ability, but availability. Just say yes.

Yesterday, we commissioned our youth and volunteers for their UMARMY Mission Trip!

This week, they will be serving in Matagorda, Texas, sharing the love of Christ through service, compassion, and hard work. As they step out in faith, we pray that God will use them to be His hands and feet while transforming lives—both those they serve and their own.

Please keep our team in your prayers for safe travels, meaningful relationships, and a powerful week of ministry.

Pentecost was never meant to be just a moment that sparks faith. It was the beginning of a Spirit-filled life sustained by God’s power.

Pastor Marty reminded us on Sunday that finishing faithfully takes more than emotion or willpower. When our strength runs low, the Holy Spirit renews our faith, strengthens our resolve, and carries us forward.

The great adventure of faith is not just about starting strong. It’s about finishing with fire.

Week two of “The Great Adventure” with Pastor Marty reminded us that faith is more than believing. It’s moving.

Abram was called to leave behind everything familiar before God gave him the full picture. And often, that’s how God still works. We want clarity before obedience, certainty before surrender, but faith begins where control ends.

What if the next step God is calling you to take requires trust before understanding? What if clarity comes after movement, not before it?
