Sometimes we spend years asking, “Why did this happen?” But Scripture doesn’t promise that everything happens for a reason. What it does promise is that God is at work, even in the brokenness.

This week in Stained Glass Stories, Pastor Marty reminded us that God doesn’t ask us to pretend our hurts don’t exist. Instead, He takes the shattered pieces of our lives and creates something beautiful through them. Just as Joseph could say, “What was meant for evil, God used for good,” we can trust that our broken places are not the end of our story.

Don’t focus only on the cracks. Look at the masterpiece God is creating.

Repentance is not humiliation. Repentance is liberation.

In Week 2 of Stained Glass Stories, Pastor Trish reminded us that what we bring into the light can be transformed. God’s question, “Where are you?” isn’t about location. It’s an invitation to honesty, healing, and restoration.

Though we fall and sit in darkness, the Lord is our light. When we stop hiding our broken pieces and bring them before God, His grace begins to create something beautiful.

Last Sunday marked a new chapter as we gathered for worship in our temporary Worship Center while construction begins on our campus. Thank you to our staff, church family, and guests for embracing change and truly flexing for the mission.

The space may look different, but our mission remains the same: connecting people to Jesus and one another. We’re grateful for the flexibility, patience, and joyful spirit that filled the room last Sunday.

Our JW students and leaders spent the past week serving in Bay City and Matagorda, Texas. Despite weather delays, they completed nine projects in just 3½ days! Including two wheelchair ramps over 20 feet long and a 37-foot ramp with a deck.

But the most important work wasn't what was built—it was what God did in the hearts of our students. Throughout the week, we saw attitudes change, faith grow, and lives impacted through serving others and hearing God's Word. Friday night's share time was a powerful reminder that when we step out to serve, God transforms us along the way.

We're so proud of our students, grateful for our incredible leaders, and thankful for everyone who made this mission trip possible. Thank you for praying, supporting, and cheering on this amazing group!

Some reflect God’s goodness. Others reveal the places where we’ve hidden, struggled, or tried to stay in control.

Tomorrow we begin our new summer sermon series, “Stained Glass Stories.”

There are seasons when something in us feels cracked, not shattered, but fractured by life: a disappointment, a wound that still lingers, a prayer still waiting for an answer. And yet Scripture keeps reminding us that God meets us right there in the broken places and brings light through them.

This series is a journey through grace—how God enters our fractures, restores what’s been wounded, and transforms our lives into something that reflects His light more beautifully than before.

🚨 Important update: Beginning tomorrow (June 7th), Sunday morning worship will take place in the Wesley Activity Center Gym, temporarily renamed the Worship Center, as construction and renovation begin.
