PASTOR, I AM FRUSTRATED, TELL ME ABOUT MY DIVINE PURPOSE IN LIFE, WHAT IS IT???
-Pastor Sydney Pennie Sr.
EPHESIANS 1:11-12 says, "In him, we were also chosen, destined in accord with the purpose of the One who accomplishes all things according to the intention of his will, so that we might exist for the praise of his glory, we who first hoped in Christ".
Though we Pastors possess spiritual discernment and spiritual insights, some more than others by God’s sovereignty, we do not possess crystal balls, magic fairy wands, or pixie dust to reveal the details of your divine purpose for your life. Your divine purpose in life, if you are saved, is to “exist for the praise of His glory”. However, the details of your destiny are a personal matter between you and God. I am a firm believer, that your divine purpose and destiny would be progressively made clearer to you when your spiritual growth is progressively constant, and your faith/obedience is intentional. We, the teacher-pastors, possess divine empowerment to help you with your spiritual growth, only if you choose to be diligent students of sound bible doctrine. -But you can never be a “shoe in” if you never show up. Our spiritual discernment works best when you are constantly and progressively experiencing spiritual growth under our pastoral watch and care. So often many are seeking to know what they are not diligently seeking to find. Frustration primarily comes from seekers of self-gratification expecting to be served by an unselfish God who requires our existence to be the praise of His glory and not for our selfish desires. The Bible informs us that we (the church) are the “Bride of Christ”. We are married to Him. Having said that, we are purposed to “exist for the praise of His glory”, but you will never know your place in this marriage if you only keep trying to date Him as opposed to being the “Bride of Christ”, -hence a call to commitment and a stripping away of “self” for the praise of His glory...which is our ultimate purpose. Prioritize bible doctrine intake regularly under the pastor that God has chosen for you and then love God with all your being and love your neighbor as yourself, is a great place to start. -Be Blessed 🙂
