The countries of origin of our participants were USA, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru, Honduras, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. Their ages ranged between 13 and 76 years. The parish ministries that actively participated were: Spanish Mother’s Group, Spanish Bible Study, Christian Family Movement, Charismatic Community. “Servorum Dei” Young Adult Group, AMSIF, Legion of Mary, Marriage Encounter, Hispanic Choir, Guadalupano Group, “Alma de Cristo” Choir, Matachines, Cursillos de Cristiandad, Neocathecuminal Way, Missionaries of Mercy, Franciscans of Mary, Catechists, Ushers, Heralds of the Gospel, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Altar Servers and Parish Staff.
Our process culminated with our Parish Encounter, a daylong conference in which 140 participants gather to reflect on the five working sessions and suggest actions (at the parish and archdiocesan level) that the Church could do to better evangelize Hispanics Catholics. Delegates have been selected to represent our parish at the Archdiocesan Encuentro in September.
