Dear Friends,

We’re reaching out to parents and grandparents across Greater Houston to ask for your help.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston is launching a short survey to better understand how families are prioritizing Jewish experiences for the next generation—and what barriers may be getting in the way. Your perspective will help guide important community conversations and future planning.

If you are a parent or grandparent of children in our community, we invite you to take a few minutes to share your voice. It only takes 5 minutes to complete, and we are aiming to hear from at least 300 respondents. Every response makes a meaningful difference.

The survey is brief and designed to be easy to complete. All survey responses are anonymous. The survey will only be open until Friday, May 1 so please respond quickly.

Thank you for helping us strengthen Jewish life in Houston—together.

Passover prep has been in full swing at Religious School! Last night our 4th graders practiced singing "Kadesh, urchatz..." the order of the Passover seder, with piano accompaniment from Cantor Laurie Bonn.
We look forward to hearing your children sing "Mah Nishtana / The Four Questions" and many other traditional melodies at our Model Seder on March 29th.

We are excited about our upcoming author's visit for our 4th-6th grade and Sulam students on February 1st.
The author who will be visiting is Darlene Campos, one of our synagogue members.

Safety first. 💙

Forecasted icy conditions mean we're closing the building Sunday, January 25. All Religious School, classes, programming, and services are canceled for the day.

Our Post Oak and Allen Parkway cemeteries are also closed Sunday.

Segal Academy is following HISD and is closed on Monday. We will update Monday closures for the synagogue as we learn more.

Friday and Saturday remain on schedule—including tonight's 5:15pm happy hour. See you then! Shabbat Shalom!
