Oikos Church

Oikos Church Families on mission. Formed by Jesus. Sent to make disciples. We desire to be a family where everyone contributes and everyone is supported. Welcome to the Oikos!

Oikos Church is a family on mission together whose purpose is to help people experience Jesus and to make disciples who make disciples. We try our best to live life together as an oikos (an extended family through the blood of Christ) and are eager to join God's mission of redemption; to actively invest in the lives of others so that everyone we meet can experience Jesus and live life to the fulle

st. Oikos is men, women, children, families, singles, doctors, lawyers, plumbers, salesmen & women, musicians, artists, engineers, divorced, married, etc. No one family is the same, but we are all united in community together around the cross of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Our identity is communicated through our mosaic 'O' logo. We are all broken as individuals and as families, but we are drawn together as family around the unbroken cross of Jesus Christ, who gives new life and makes all things new. When gathered around the cross, our brokenness is made into something beautiful for God truly makes beautiful things out of the dust. We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am at 522 Lindale, 77022 in Lindale Park area and throughout the week in our missional communities.

Jesus didn’t say “if” you fast. He said “when” you fast. (Matthew 6:16-18)

This week, choose one thing to give up each day as a practice of fasting. Let each sacrifice become a reminder to turn your attention back to God.

Fasting isn’t about impressing others or proving your devotion. It’s about creating space to seek God, depend on Him, and be transformed by His presence.

What might God want to say when the noise is removed?

“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:18

Take a moment today to slow down and read Psalm 1:1-2.

True joy isn’t found in following the crowd—it’s found in delighting in God’s Word and meditating on it day and night. As you read, ask God to shape your heart, guide your steps, and deepen your love for Him.

📖 “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” — Psalm 1:2

Pause. Breathe. Pray.

Take a moment this week to ask God, “Where are You leading me?”

He is faithful to guide those who seek Him. 🙏

Somehow He loves us deeper than we could ever understand.
Not because we earned it. Not because we deserve it.
Just because that’s who He is. 🤍

“It’s extravagant. It doesn’t make sense…”
And yet His love never stops pursuing us.

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the depth of courage and love. 🇺🇸

As we gather with family and friends, may we also pause to pray for military families, reflect with gratitude, and remember those who laid down their lives for others.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Oikos Church, we remember and honor you today. ❤️
