We’re so grateful our pumpkin driver is on the road and will deliver pumpkins TOMORROW at noon!

Join us tomorrow as we pray and party through praise and pumpkins! Dress for the morning is comfy work clothes — we’ll worship in the sanctuary and then unload the pumpkin truck — our first stop this week in being sent into the world to be grace. Please invite neighbors and friends so we might joyfully complete the task as quickly as possible — we'll provide pizza lunch. Football will be streaming in the sanctuary so we can keep a close eye on sportsball. If you have gardening gloves, wheelbarrows, or wagons, please bring them along, too.

Life in community is an adventure — we're so glad to be about it with you!

This morning we received word from the farm that they’ve experienced rough weather delaying our pumpkin delivery. Pumpkins will NOT be delivered tomorrow, Saturday, October 3rd. Please be on the lookout for further communication as soon as we receive an updated delivery date. We’ll keep you posted! We appreciate you very much and are so excited to welcome pumpkins with you whenever they arrive! 🎃🧡

I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt;
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low by thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things
to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.

–John Wesley

Will you go with me? We ask as soon as we begin to form sentences — when we’re little, we ask it when we’re unsure of what lies ahead and whether we have capacity to do the thing we’re asked to do. As we grow up, we keep asking as we never grow out of it. Will you go with me? is a human question.

This Sunday we begin a six-week sermon series where we’ll explore how God goes with us always. Through unknowns, amidst uncertainty, into God’s preferred future for us. Then we’ll gather immediately following worship for our first Vision Lunch — we’ll sit in small groups to eat and discuss questions that’ll help us begin to piece together a mosaic of what our church’s next 5-10 years looks like in the Heights. We’re excited to see you tomorrow at 11am!

Go with us — God, go with us, because we can’t get there without you! Truly, go with us, because we can only go if you’re with us, Lord.

We loved learning from Dr. Leroy Barber this past weekend! We gathered with The Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church friends to hear how to be a church that’s becoming God’s good news in our neighborhood. A church that prioritizes people, discovers the gifts God has placed within our neighbors, and joins the community in building a place of shalom. A church that is being Grace!

Pastor Hannah could work on her selfie game though — Meredith was with us, just cut out of this pic! 😂

We kick off Bible Study tonight at 7pm with 12 weeks in Exodus — the second book of the Bible. Expect a study for normal people about an ancient story that answers ancient questions and can transform our lives together today. See you in the Fellowship Hall!
