SpringSpirit Mentoring The SpringSpirit Mentoring Program is designed to help our participants realize their potential in Christ and see the world outside of their circumstances.

We want to show them that they can be successful and we believe mentors can show them how just by giving their time and love. The SpringSpirit Mentoring Program helps to support the growth of our students on the fields, in school, and in life. We recruit caring, Christian adults to serve as mentors, encouragers, role models, and friends. We need people who will show up for these kids at least once

a month. We do not ask that a mentor become a child’s psychiatrist or parent. Rather, we ask that they would be a positive role model by befriending the children and inspiring and guiding them to choose successful paths. The mentoring visit may entail something as simple as coming out to our fields and throwing the ball around, playing basketball, craft projects, or going out for a meal. The visit may also include a trip to a museum or church, or a visit to one’s place of business. The goal is enrichment – to show these children a larger slice of the world he or she lives in.
