Help us help our Seminarians and those in Religious life!

Greetings from the PoP Vocations Task Force, One of the missions of the Prince of Peace Vocations Task Force is to support the Seminarians and those in Religious formation from our parish. Our parish is very fortunate to have 5 Seminarians and 4 women in Religious Formation! This Christmas season, the Vocations Task Force would like to send each Seminarian and those in Religious formation a nice care package to show our appreciation from the entire parish. We are asking for ministries to donate a gift cards to the cause. Suggestions for gift cards include places like Wal-mart, Target, HEB, or a Visa gift card. Gift cards to restaurants like Chick-Fil-a, Chipotle and Starbucks are also great ideas. Everything is appreciated! To collect the donations, there will be an envelope at the front desk, marked “Vocations Task Force Support – Michelle Pye”. Please include your name and ministry, as we want to thank you too! The last day to receive donations will be Sunday, December 12. Thanks!

Looking for something to do tonight? Come pray for Vocations at a very special Holy Hour!

Two of our own seminarians, Jacob Ramirez and Luis Garcia, will be ordained Transitional Deacons and we want to pray for them AND future vocations in our parish! Join us Wednesday, May 12 at 7pm for a Holy Hour with the Blessed Sacrament complete with music and special prayers for these two men and future men and women to answer God's call in their lives.

O Father, you desire all of us to be happy.
Stir up the grace of a vocation to the priesthood or consecrated life in the hearts of many men and women.
Grant to them the willingness and generosity
to give of themselves, their lives, their time, and their
talents to the service of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord and
Savior, and to His Holy Church. Amen.

The POP VTF is starting to prepare for our Seminarian Care Packages. We are collecting gift cards to be added to the care packages. Gift cards ideas: Wal-Mart, Target, Starbucks, Chipotle and other casual dining places work great.

Please label gift cards to the VTF in an envelope and drop by the front office or hand to a team member by December 4.

Lots of prayers for our Seminarians, Jacob and Luis, as today they received their Rite of Candidacy from Cardinal Dinardo this morning.

So very grateful for seminarians Christopher, Luis, Jacob, Caleb, Genaro, and Fernando after their Rite of Candidacy at St. Mary's Seminary earlier this morning, celebrated by Cardinal DiNardo. Please continue to pray for seminarians!
