“A Sound Mind”

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Delicious food, fellowship, praise and worship and a powerful word on living in perfect peace! 🔥 Ladies were being set free from fear and anxiety!

In Christ, you have a sound mind! So take every thought captive, fix your mind on Him, and walk in the perfect peace that Jesus paid the price for you have!

Hey my friends!
You’ve got a brand new day right here in front of you! You can make the choice how it’s going to go! I hear many grumble and complain daily about many different things and if you look at their life…their words are just a small glimpse into what’s going on inside and around them because they have created their reality with their mouth! You have what you say! There is creative power in your tongue and that can work for or against you!

Choose today to speak life! Proverbs 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”

Don’t speak fear and worry! Don’t speak defeat! Don’t speak lack! Don’t be a constant spout of negativity! Don’t be a grumbler! We need to declare who we are and what we have IN CHRIST! Talk like you belong to Him!

Take a look around you today and take a quick assessment of your life…because it will be an indicator of the fruit of your lips…what has been created by your words?

Start fresh today! Ask the Lord to help you! I pray Psalms 19:14 every day which says “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.”

It’s GOING TO BE a great day!

Thank you Lord for:

-waking me up this morning
-putting breath in my lungs
-a heart that beats and floods my body with life
-my family (spouse/kids/parents/siblings/etc)
-food to eat
-a roof over my head
-allowing me to live in freedom here in America
-loving me even at my worst
-always being there, even when I didn’t recognize it

What an awesome night kicking off this semester’s THRIVE group! We talked about having vision and these amazing young ladies had a blast making their own vision boards! Thank you Brenham Pregnancy Center for providing Chick-fil-A Brenham for these hungry college students! What an honor and privilege it is to be able to pour into the lives of our local Blinn ladies! God has incredible plans and unique destinies for each of them and helping them discover that is such a blessing! 🙌🏼💗

Dueteronomy 8:3 “man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.”

Proverbs 4:20-22 “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.”

As believers, we need the Word of God more than we need physical nourishment! There is no survival of the soul without God’s Word daily! We don’t get in the Word as a duty or to check off a daily box of to-do’s…we need the Word to nourish our spirit and soul, to bring life and healing to every part of our being! Just as our bodies can only survive so long without food, our spirit can only survive so long without being fed by the living Word of God! 1 Peter 2:2 says that God’s Word is as essential to the believer as milk is to a newborn baby!

We need the Word to sustain us! If you aren’t in the Word daily and don’t know where to start, shoot me a message and I’ll help ya! ❤️

Make the decision today to draw on the love of God that has already been deposited into you! If you are a believer, you have the love of God inside! Like drawing water out of a well, you draw on what’s already on the inside! You make the decision to live as an imitator of God and walk in love! It’s not a natural thing! Our flesh will say “wait, hold up! This doesn’t make sense!” That’s when you tell your flesh to get out of the way and you walk it out in faith! Draw it out today and walk in love! That is what sets us apart from the world! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

From preparing food, setting up, leading worship, intercession, greeting, helping carry out water baptisms, video & pictures, nursery, what a beautiful thing to see the body rise up together to reach our community! That place was absolutely packed! And God moved mightily! 💖

Seeing ladies have a radical encounter with the Lord and discover their true identity in Him is what 31:25 ministries is all about! 🙌🏼

“May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalms 19:14

Stop and think about this verse for a minute!
The psalmist was praying that not only would his every word that he spoke be pleasing to the Lord but also that even his thoughts would be centered on and pleasing to Him!

How many times do we let our mind wander? Or we allow a thought from the enemy to start taking root in our mind to the point where we dwell on it….then what do we do next? We start talking about it! As soon as you speak something, you’ve given it life! This is where 2 Corinthians 10:5 becomes so important….
“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing EVERY THOUGHT into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
Take those thoughts captive and bring them in line with the Word! Begin to dwell on God’s promises! Luke 6:45 says that “out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks”…. Think on the Word and keep your mind so stayed on the Lord and that will be the overflow that will come out of your mouth! That is what is pleasing to the Lord!
