In our Eastertide gatherings we have been caught up into the reality that in a world of death dealing there is a sound that the dead do hear, a voice that moves them. It is the same voice of creation that said let there be light that now says “wake up all you dead and live!” God doesn’t merely offer institutional reform. God is at work in the world to make all things new. All things.

Come to the table. There is room for you.

As a people who refuse to give way to despair. We feast.
We enjoy. We celebrate the reality that God is making all
things new.

The tomb is empty.
The grave is robbed.
The Risen Christ is our King.
And we are here — alive, together, overflowing with
hope.

So raise your glass.
He is risen.
He is risen indeed.

Moments from our 2026 Good Friday gathering.

“On Good Friday, finally, we are all, mourners and mockers alike, reduced to the same impotence. Someone else is doing the terrible work that gives life to the world.”

If this year has made it hard to hope—this week’s for you.

The world is loud. The week is heavy.
It was then — it is now.
But we arrive at Easter only by way of Holy Week.

We do not let this week rush by.
We slow down. We watch. We pray.
We follow Jesus toward the cross. Not because we enjoy the darkness, but because resurrection only comes by way of it.

Join us for Good Friday and then Easter Sunday, where we will worship and throw the party of the year. An After Party in the face of everything that says the darkness wins.

It does not.

The heart of Lent is letting go of all the ways we seek to find life in ourselves, and allowing ourselves to yield to the dangerous task of being reoriented to God.

Church may we lift our eyes to the hills and recognize where our help comes from this Lenten season.

A message from Brandon:

We’ve made the decision to cancel our in-person gathering this Sunday due to the potential impacts of the winter storm.

Travel conditions may be hazardous, and we want to be mindful of the safety of our community, our volunteers, and our staff.

I’ll miss worshiping with you all this week. But I pray this offers some unexpected space and stillness in your weekend.

Please stay safe, stay warm, and check in with your neighbors and with one another. I would encourage you to take some time Sunday morning to pray for our church, for those impacted by this widespread storm—particularly the vulnerable—and for those God brings to mind. I will be praying with you, and I look forward to gathering together again next Sunday.

Peace,
Brandon

As we enter this new year be reminded that in the incarnation human destiny has been forever reoriented. Over the last two Sundays of Christmastide we have lingered with that reality. Entering into this new year, whatever we might think we need or lack may we find ourselves caught up in the wonder of the God who has come down to be with us.

Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His Gospel is peace. Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother, and in His name all oppression shall cease.

Church thank you for joining us for a sacred, simple, and meaningful Christmas Eve gathering. May we live illuminated by the light of the world. Go in peace!
