Got to love Jeff Hajar from Fuzzy’s Pizza. Last night members of the Jewish community were invited to an Iftar dinner at Fuzzy’s to mark the end of the daily fast during Ramadan. Such a loving event. And such a great supporter of interfaith understanding.

For our friends and family who are living or traveling in Israel

When reality feels unsettling, words can become an anchor and a source of hope. Words that connect us, offer comfort, and remind us that the strength to endure lies in being together.

Today we learned about the importance of treating sacred literature with respect and honor. We buried old siddurim, worship pamphlets, tallitot and kippot.

We love it when people say "Hineini-Here I am". After Rabbi Lipper called on the community to answer the call to feed the hungry, the food began flowing in. Today, Rabbi Lipper took nearly 450 pounds of food to West Houston Assistance Ministries. The cars were lined up and people kept walking up seeking food. Proud of the Temple Sinai community for saying "Hineini".

Our religious school students participated in Temple Sinai’s annual mitzvah day. Younger kids decorated Hanukkah cards while the older kids volunteered at the Houston Food Bank. We filled 12 pallets of food boxes for the senior program- several pallets above average. Thank you to everyone who helped make our world shine a little brighter today!
