Rightness without Righteousness produces spiritual schizophrenia. One is born of fear and control and must be earned, the other is born of faith and surrender and can only be received. One brings division and striving the other brings peace and rest. One punishes the other restores.

According to Old Testament law, a woman caught in adultery was meant to be dealt with through capital punishment, specifically stoning, along with the man involved. Levitical law (Leviticus 20:10) and Deuteronomy 22:22-24 mandated death for both parties to remove the evil from Israel.

“they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. Preach, teach, live, breathe the Kingdom of God at any cost. The Gospel of the Kingdom will not conform to any political ideology. We are conformed to His image, He will not be conformed to ours. Suffer well.

‘Most advice on culture wars promises that if you handle things skillfully enough, you can keep everyone at church. That’s a lie. Jesus didn’t keep everyone. The prophets did not keep everyone. Paul planted churches that immediately started fracturing. The goal is not a full room. The goal is a faithful one.”

Because Paul gives instructions to Believers on how to live within an unjust social structure does not imply an advocacy of that institution. The notion that slavery and the plantation mentality was and is an acceptable social structure endorsed in Scripture is a blasphemous heresy. The scent of white supremacy and white exceptionalism in our current culture is antithetical to the values and ethic of the Kingdom and a stench in the nostrils of God.

“But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I ordain in all the churches. Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters. Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it. We measure success based on a persons position, possessions, power and accomplishments. God seems to work from a different point of view.

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 NKJV

After spending a few minutes on FB I have come to this conclusion. When confronted with 2 equally toxic, opposing streams of propaganda , choose neither. Somewhere in the earth are people who love His Word and truth, whose passion is not trying to save a nation but are “looking for and hastening” His coming Kingdom. Progressive ideology and Dominion theology are both fatal. In the midst of the chaos of the earth where is the cry of the Body of Christ for His coming? This has always been the longing of the people of God. Love Jesus passionately, give yourself to the Word of God and the God of the Word, walk uprightly, seek His Kingdom purposefully, wait patiently and suffer well.

There, now I’ve made everybody mad. The answers we seek cannot be found in the broken systems of man.

God did not choose a race of people to become His Holy nation, He chose people according to His Grace to become a new race, the one new man, new creations, the Body of Christ. The white supremeist, white nationalist undertones streaming through our government are distressing and being validated and echoed by so many who claim to know Christ.

When the messenger becomes the message, when promoting the church takes priority over proclaiming His Kingdom the New Testament expression of the Body of Christ becomes distorted, deformed and dysfunctional.
