Then join us at the Deer Park Community Center for our newest and MOST FUN learning opportunity:
Puppeteering for Beginners.
In this course, we will teach you the Five Basics every Master Puppeteer learns:
1. Posture
2. Eye contact
3. Mouth action
4. Lip syncing
5. Entrance and exits
No marionettes or sock puppets allowed : ). We work with professionally manufactured big mouth puppets similar to the ones on your favorite shows: Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, and The Dark Crystal.
For even more fun, you will learn all about “prop-a-teering.” Adding props, signs, and other effects to enhance puppet shows and storytelling.
The end of the course will be celebrated with a performance for family and friends starring YOU and all your classmates.
