Community Meeting for Northeast Houston

Community Meeting
TMO: Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:30 pm at New Hope Baptist Church, Langley and Hirsch Road

Hope you're doing well. We will have a short meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:30 pm. It is the Wednesday after Labor Day.
• We need to try to get a better idea of the timeline for K-Mart demolition. Which buildings will be demolished?
• Discuss conversation with City Councilwoman Carter last week about having a public meeting to inform the community before the building comes down, regarding how the city will keep people safe from Dust or anything else that might get into the air during demolition.
• As well as scheduling some sort of ceremony before the demolition begins, so people can celebrate.
• Brief community on things that are important.
• Important questions the community wants to do a session on the NorthEast side with the major candidates committed to come on October 19th for District 18th
• What does the community want to see differently in NorthEast Houston?

1. When you encounter trial you need to learn how to wait on the Lord. (You must be strong. You will encounter more adversaries ) We don’t like extreme moments and run. Be still get into the encouraging words of God.
2. Be strong, fortitude yourself. You can let go. You will find yourself in extremes times. And God will strengthen your heart. Tough people will survive. Weak people run. The blessings come from perseverance.

To the Family of God,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
When I think of Christmas, I think of the love that God has for his family. I think deeply of His mighty plan to save all the world's families, to make one loving family through the birth of our savior. How great is the father’s love? That He would send His only begotten son into a world of sin. On that holy night, the ability for man to be set free from the power of sin had begun. God had started the beginning to the completion of His great work. All families of the world that believe can experience the Gift of their Heavenly Father. The greatest Gift that money can’t buy. A Gift that times and the elements can’t destroy. The Gift of the abundant life is that life created for you to experience God on your journey to Heaven.
Now that 2023 is at a close, we who are members of God’s family are looking forward to our continued journey with the same God, the Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the same today and will be tomorrow and forever. Enjoy your Christmas with celebrations of families and friends; looking forward to the Blessings of God for a prosperous and glorious New Year!
