DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Your Story

TODAY’S VERSE
“I will tell everyone about Your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim Your Saving Power, though I am not skilled with words. I will praise Your mighty deeds, O Sovereign LORD. I will tell everyone that You alone are just.” Psalms 71:15-16 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What is your testimony? What can you tell others about God? What have you allowed God to do in your heart, mind and life that others would want to know about? David shared his enthusiasm about God with everyone who listened. Why? Because David had an incredible relationship with Jehovah. He trusted in God with his whole heart and saw God as a righteous God, who met his every need. In this Psalm David is an old man. Even in his last days, David proclaimed God’s power and mighty miracles to the new generation coming after him. Today more than ever people need the Savior. They need to see Christians with a vibrant relationship with a loving all powerful God. What is your story? What can you say about God’s miraculous power? What can you say about God’s faithfulness and provision? So many people never enter a church. They never read the Bible. But every day they are watching your life, listening to your conversation. They may never read the Gospel according to Matthew or Mark. The only chance they have is to see the Gospel according to you.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Help me to share Your love with others. Help me to be faithful in my witness of Your Power and provision in my life. I pray that Your gospel would be alive and well in my story and than many would witness You in me and believe. By Your grace and for Your glory. In Jesus Name. AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
I share what God is doing in my life
Think of a time when God has really blessed you, a time when you were really grateful for what He did for you. Sense how good it felt. Now picture someone else without that joy. See yourself sharing how much God loves them and watch their countenance light up and their sense of hope come alive. Witness God blessing their life because you shared about His love.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Conscious Of God’s Love

TODAY’S VERSE
“If God is for us, who can be against us? -Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? – For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31, 35, 38 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
This is one of the greatest promises in the Bible. It is true for every child of God. Nothing – nothing – nothing can separate you from the love of God! You may feel like His love is distant, you may have doubts, you may be in circumstances where it seems like God is nowhere near, but the truth remains. His love is with you and He is conscious of you right now, this very moment! Stop and recognize His presence. Be still and know that He is your God.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Almighty God, my Heavenly Father. I renounce all negative beliefs that lead me to think that You do not care or have abandoned me. I pray that You will, this very moment, make me conscious of Your presence. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to really understand that nothing has or ever will separate me from Your love. Thank You for Your great love for me. In Jesus Name. AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
Nothing can separate me from the love of God. See yourself walking against a strong wind. Dark clouds are coming in, a frigid temperature accompanies the strong wind. An ominous feeling comes over you and then you remember, “Nothing can separate me from the love of God!” Feel the peace of God come over you. Sense a deep faith welling up inside of you as it begins to give you joy. See God watching and sense His presence protecting you. Affirm deep in your heart, “Nothing can separate me from the love of God!”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : What Fruit Are You?

TODAY’S VERSE
“By their fruit you will recognize them.” Matthew 7:20 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Not all things are what they seem. Jesus once cursed a fig tree that gave the impression that it was bearing fruit, when in fact it was barren. There was something about “saying one thing” and “doing another” that really got to Jesus. Whether it was the Pharisees that posed as religious zealots but knew nothing of the righteousness God was interested in, or a false prophet that pretended to know what God wanted to say and led people down the wrong path. Jesus would rather be with a pr******te, tax collector or lepers that sincerely repented than those that had the pretence of faith. Jesus simply said it this way. “You can tell a tree by the fruit it produces.” Peach tree? Peaches. Apple tree? Apples. Christians? The fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Today, when people look at your life what fruit will they see?

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit will bear His fruit in my life, so when people see me, they will glorify You. In Jesus Name. AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in my life. See yourself in a beautiful garden. There is plenty of sunshine, healthy rains and good soil. As you walk through the garden you see all the many exotic plants. Then you come to a special place, the fruit of the Spirit garden. As you walk in you can feel your soul respond to God’s love. It is a good place. As you spend time with God in the garden you experience the different fruit growing in you. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control all begin to mature and influence your life. You affirm, “The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in my life.”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : A Solid Foundation

TODAY’S VERSE
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25

TODAY’S MESSAGE
It matters what you build your life on. Both Jesus and Paul agreed, you need to build your life on the truth of the Bible. Not just knowing the truth, but living the truth. Jesus said, “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them in practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Paul wrote that we should be a “workman that does not need to be ashamed, who correctly handles the Word of truth.” If we want our life to be established on firm ground, then we need to be grounded in His Word. We need to read the Bible, study it and then apply it to our life. We need to live what we read. When we do, we will find that life will stand the tests of time.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I want to live my life on solid ground. I want to be able to stand firm when I go through hard times. Help me to read Your Word and understand its meaning. Help me to live what You tell me to do. I want to be a workman that does not need to be ashamed, who correctly handles Your Word of truth! In Jesus’ name. AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I build my life on the Word of God Picture yourself reading the Bible. As you meditate on it’s meaning you sense the Holy Spirit teaching you and sharing truth with you. You sense an area of life that needs change. You hear a word of comfort. You see a way to heal a circumstance. You feel the presence of God as you read verse after verse. God is teaching you, guiding you, correcting you and you feel a deep sense of joy. You affirm, “I build my life on the Word of God!”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Trust, Delight and Commit

TODAY’S VERSE
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: Psalms 37:3-5 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
There is a spiritual rhythm in these three verses. It really speaks to the soul. It is like drinking a tall, cool glass of water after coming in from a steamy, hot day. Somehow trust, delight and commit seem to go together. Today, start with trusting God. Give everything over to Him. Let go, trust Him. Then stop and delight in Him. Feel His love. Let Him give you deep joy. Delight in His presence. Finally, bow before Him and commit everything to Him. Put your life in His hands. And you know what? He says He will give us the desires of our heart. It doesn’t get any better than this!

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come to You now and trust You with all my concerns, and worries. You are God and I give myself to You. I choose to delight in You. I ask You to fill me with a deep joy today. I want to love You with all my heart. I commit this day to You and all that will transpire. I commit myself joyfully into Your hands. Thank You that You have promised that if I trust, delight and commit, You will give me the desires of my heart. In Jesus Name. AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I am trusting and delighting in God.
Use today’s thought as your visualization. See yourself trusting God, giving everything over to Him. Let go and trust Him. Next stop and delight in Him. Feel His love. Let Him give you deep joy. Now delight in His presence. See yourself sitting before God filled with joy. Finally, bow before Him and commit everything to Him. Watch as you put your life in His hands. Sense the deep pleasure and satisfaction as you trust and delight in Him.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Trade Fear For Love

TODAY’S VERSE
Let all who fear the LORD repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. Psalms 118:4-6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How much of your time is spent in fear? Not much you say. Okay, how much of your time is spent in defending or protecting yourself? How many thoughts are spent planning and plotting every detail of your life in order to make everything seem just right. Why? Because you fear that others may think poorly of you. One way or another, fear plays a large part in our life. In today’s passage the Psalmist has found an answer for his fear. When he was in distress he prayed to God and God set him free. Because of God’s loving intervention the author no longer feared. Rather, he meditated on God’s love and learned to trust in that love. Isn’t that what you and I need to do? Today, when fear comes to us, let us do what the Psalmist did. Let’s pray to God and let Him answer us. He will, because His love endures forever.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me overcome my fears. Instead of being fearful, help me to trust in Your faithful love. I give my life to You and ask You to guide me, protect me and set me free from the bo***ge of fear. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I give God my fear, He gives me His love.
Picture your self in a fearful state. Anxiety is starting to rise. You can feel your heart beating faster. Pressure builds and your breathing gets shallow. As terror starts to build to panic, you stop and cry out to God. See God as He hears your cry and turns His head toward you. He says, “Give me your fear.” You sense a glimmer of hope and in desperation you give it to Him. And as you do, He gives you back His love. Feel His love bring you back to joy. Sense peace beginning to take over your body as you begin to relax. Affirm, “I give God my fear, and He gives me His love.”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Your Source Of Joy

TODAY’S VERSE
“There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy.” Psalms 43:4 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Joy is the great equalizer. It is what our soul strives for, that spiritual homeostasis that keeps life in balance. But joy isn’t something we can conjure up by ourself. Deep, rich joy comes from a loving relationship with God. When we find ourself out of sorts, when our emotions seem to be at the edge, it is our relationship with God and the deep affirmations that He gives to us, that bring us back. The Psalmist knew where his joy came from. That is why he wrote that he went to the altar of God and through praise, worship and prayers, he found the source of all his joy. Jesus knew this too. When people came to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” He replied, “You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” Yes, Jesus said that because it was the right moral choice; but I believe He also knew that it was the best solution to all that bothers us as human beings. He knew that our heart, mind and soul is the true altar of God. Indeed, knowing God in deep and intimate ways is our true source of joy.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, how I long to know You in deep and personal ways. Help me worship You at the altar of my heart, mind and soul, so I can know You as the true source of all my joy. In Jesus Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God is the true source of all my joy. Come today and focus on your internal place of worship, a place where you come before God and love Him with all your, “heart, mind and soul.” As you invite God to make His presence known to you, give Him any painful emotions that you are experiencing and let Him help you return to joy.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Mind Your Mind and Heart

TODAY’S VERSE
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:15-16 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
William Backus, in his book “Learning To Tell Myself The Truth” writes, “Sadly, misbeliefs, whether verbal or visual, are the direct cause of emotional turmoil, maladaptive behavior, and most self-destructive behavior, such as overeating, smoking, lying, substance abuse, or adultery, to name a few.” It is true, the consequences of misbeliefs, misinterpretations of events and skewed predictions about outcomes all to often lead to us to despair and the dysregulation of our emotions. Therefore it is crucial that we protect our heart and our mind. Paul shares how can do this. First he says that we are to let the peace that comes from knowing Christ rule in our hearts. The heart is where our emotions, imagination, visualizations, dreams and aspirations come from. We need to let Christ rule in each of these areas. He should fill our imaginations, dreams and visions with His peace. Satan uses our imagination. Have you ever noticed that you fear in technicolor, surround sound and 3-D? It is the same with anger, hopelessness and any other of our painful emotions. Our imagination goes wild. Instead, we need to let Christ’s peace fill our hearts. We need Him to be the Lord of our imagination. Second, Paul writes, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.” It is the Word of God that challenges and helps correct any negative core belief. As His Word dwells in our minds we will begin to see it spill over into our belief system. This happens through admonishing one another with all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Today give God both your heart and your mind. Let Him be the Lord of your thoughts and imagination.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, please let Your peace rule in my heart. Let Your Word dwell in my mind. Help me grow with others as we admonish each other with all wisdom. May I be blessed through the singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. And may I be filled with gratitude in my heart to You dear God. In Jesus’ name I pray.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God’s peace resides in my heart. Today meditate on God’s peace. Take a deep breath and relax. Picture yourself in a quiet place. Let yourself relax as you continue to breathe deep. As you relax ask God to help you sense His peace. Invite the Holy Spirit to come and give you the peace that, “passes all understanding!” Let His peace fill your mind, your body and your emotions. Visualize yourself reading the scriptures and extracting peace from it. See yourself fellowshipping with others in worship and enjoying the peace of God. Affirm deep in your soul that “God’s peace resides in my heart.”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Really Knowing God

TODAY’S VERSE
“I know the greatness of the Lord.” Psalms 135:5 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever tried to describe the Grand Canyon to someone who hasn’t been there? Pictures help, your descriptions can get them excited but nothing replaces the real experience. Until they stand on one of the rims and look across the great expanse for themselves, they will not know its majesty. It is the same way with today’s passage. David writes, “I know the greatness of the Lord.” This was observational knowledge—He had seen the Lord in action. It was relational knowledge—He spent quiet time with Him. It was experiential knowledge—He knew the greatness of the Lord because He stepped out in faith trusting God for all his needs. Today, don’t just settle for head knowledge about God. Stop and know the greatness of the Lord!

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me to know You. Help me know Your greatness. Might Your Holy Spirit lead me into a deeper knowledge of You. In Jesus Name. AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I know the greatness of the Lord. Picture yourself with David. You are with Him when Goliath falls. You see God saving you in battle. You are with Him when he is dancing for the Lord. You are in the cave when he spares Saul’s life and trusts God for the outcome. Feel yourself knowing God more and more. Feel His presence alive in your heart. Sense the deep joy as you walk with God with a vibrant living faith. Affirm, “I know the greatest of the Lord!”

DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND PRAYER:
Today : Take Courage

TODAY’S VERSE
“But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’” Matthew 14:27 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever been afraid? I mean afraid for your life? If so, you know how Jesus’ disciples felt. Jesus sent them on ahead in the boat while He went to the mountain to pray. Now even though many of the disciples were experienced fishermen, they had a healthy respect for the “Abyss”. There were many legends about “the deep” as it was referred to. It was where sea creatures lived, where ships were crushed by waves, where ghosts terrorized those foolish enough to be caught in a storm. Many went into the deep part of the sea never to return. This was different than fishing along the shore. So the disciples were in the middle of the sea when the storm came. Matthew writes, “the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.” Finally, at three in the morning, as they were rowing and not getting anywhere, Jesus came walking to them on the water. At first this only added to their fear. They thought it was a ghost. But then Jesus said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter wanted to test whether it was Jesus or not so he jumped out of the boat. At first, Peter stayed on top of the water with Jesus, but then he started to look at the waves around him and began to sink. Jesus ended up saving him and as they both got into the boat, the wind and waves immediately calmed down. What an incredible lesson. Today, if the storms of this life start to rock your boat, if terror attacks your heart, if all seems lost, hear Christ’s words, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I thank You that when the storms of this life are terrorizing me and I begin to fear, You come and seek me. You are the one who comes to me and says, “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.” How marvelous Your grace is toward me. How wonderful is Your love. In Jesus Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
Christ gives me courage. See yourself in a boat out on the sea. It is the middle of the night, all is dark and the wind begins to blow. The waves start pounding at your boat and you think you are going to drown. Feel the distress in your body. But then you see Jesus walking on the water coming toward your boat. Sense the power He has as He gets closer. See Him looking at you and hear Him say, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” You are floundering and He comes and lifts you up. As He does the waves calm down. Sense the relief in your body. Experience the comfort and peace that you have. Feel courage welling up inside of you as you know Jesus is there. Affirm that, “Christ gives me courage!”
