Today, we pause to honor and remember the nine precious lives taken during the tragic shooting at the historic Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
As members of the AME Church family, we stand united in faith, love, and remembrance. Their lives and legacy continue to remind us that even in the face of hatred, God's love, grace, and strength will always prevail.
We remember the victims, their families, and the countless lives forever impacted by that day. May we continue to be a people of prayer, justice, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Today, Wesley AME Church Houston stands with the AME Connectional Church and the Charleston community as we honor those who were lost and celebrate the enduring spirit of a church that refused to let tragedy have the final word.
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." β€” John 1:5

This Father's Day and throughout Men's Week, we honor the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, mentors, and father figures who lead with faith, strength, wisdom, and love.
A godly man leaves more than an inheritance, he leaves a legacy. Through prayer, sacrifice, leadership, and commitment to family, fathers help shape generations and build stronger communities.
As we celebrate the men who stand in the gap, provide encouragement, and lead by example, we thank God for every father who continues to walk in purpose and faith.
πŸ“– "The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." – Proverbs 20:7
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate our fathers and all the amazing men who make a difference every day. We have a seat waiting just for you!

Our Dance Ministry blessed us tremendously on yesterday! Through every step, every movement, and every expression of worship, they reminded us that praise is more than a song, it's a lifestyle. We thank God for allowing them to be vessels as they ministered before His people.
The presence of the Lord was in the building, and we are grateful for another opportunity to worship together.
If you're looking for a church home or simply a place to experience the love and power of God, we invite you to join us this Sunday.
πŸ™ Come experience the move of the Lord for yourself.
There is a word, a worship experience, and a seat waiting just for you.

Prayer Is Not Optional... It Is Essential. πŸ™πŸΎ
At Wesley AME Church, we know that every blessing, every breakthrough, every open door, and every victory begins with prayer. That's why we are committed to seeking God's face and thanking Him for His many blessings.
We are grateful for our daily Morning Prayer Call at 7:00 AM, where believers come together to lift up families, communities, our church, and one another before the Lord. Prayer strengthens us, guides us, and reminds us that God is still in control.
Today, we encourage you to pause, pray, and thank God for His faithfulness. No matter what season you're in, God hears every prayer and honors every sincere heart.
"Pray without ceasing." – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Join us each morning at 7:00 AM as we continue to seek God together. We believe that when God's people pray, lives are changed, hearts are healed, and miracles happen.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we reflect on an incredible worship experience in the presence of God. From the praise and worship to the preached Word, God's Spirit moved mightily throughout the service, and we are thankful for every person who joined us.
A special thank you to our guest psalmist, Earnest Pugh, for allowing God to use his gift to bless and inspire the congregation. His ministry through song was a powerful reminder of God's faithfulness, grace, and love.
As we continue celebrating God's goodness, we remain grateful for all He is doing in and through Wesley AME Church. We are excited about what God has in store and invite you to be a part of it.

A child tried to help a caterpillar emerge from its chrysalis too soon. The butterfly couldn't fly or sustain itself because it skipped the natural process. This taught a powerful lesson: don't rush your Process. God is using every part of your process to shape you.
