The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are very special in Islam. Allah mentions them in the Qur’an, and important events happen during these days. Hajj starts on the 8th day, and the 9th day, called the Day of 'Arafah, is one of the holiest days of the year. Fasting on that day can erase sins from the past and coming year for those not on Hajj. The Prophet ﷺ also said that good deeds done during these ten days are the best and most rewarded.
