Ms. Carolyn Riley, Harris County (Greater Houston) Congressional District 7 Chair; Ms. Elena Diiorio, Congressional District 7 SDEC Representative; Ms. Rufi Natarajan, Programs Director for ROAD Women; and Mr. David Godwin, CD7 member, attended a productive meeting with Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) President Emran Gazi, accompanied by President Pakistani American Association of Greater Houston -PAGH Siraj Narsi. The meeting focused on strengthening civic engagement, community partnerships, and opportunities for greater collaboration in serving the diverse communities of Greater Houston.

We warmly invite you to attend our upcoming Islamic Funeral Workshop & Certification, a valuable three session program designed to equip participants with clear, step by step guidance rooted in authentic Islamic teachings.
This workshop includes two online sessions (July 27–28, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) and a final in person session at Masjid Bilal from Asr to Maghrib (6:30–8:20 p.m.) on July 29.
Participants who complete all three sessions and pass the quizzes will receive a certificate of participation, enabling them to join hands on training at ISGH funeral homes.
This program is open to all community members, volunteers, and youth 16+.

Historic Milestone for ISGH

Conroe, Texas: (Greater Houston) By the grace and mercy of Allah (SWT), the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) has officially completed the transfer of the property title for Masjid Al Sahabah in Conroe, Texas. With this historic milestone, the masjid is now formally part of the ISGH family. To mark this significant occasion, ISGH President Emran Gazi and ISGH Vice President Mohiuddin Syed officially received the keys to Masjid Al Sahabah, symbolizing the successful completion of the transfer and the beginning of a new chapter for the mosque under ISGH’s stewardship.
May Allah bless this masjid, reward everyone who contributed to this achievement, and make it a center of worship, knowledge, unity, and service to the community for generations to come. Congratulations, Ameen.
