Alief Community Church

Alief Community Church We are a non-denominational Bible church on the west side of Houston. Jesus is Lord! There is nothing a person can do to earn their way to heaven.

We believe:
Jesus Christ is God incarnate, born of a virgin, who died on a cross to bear the sins of mankind, was buried and resurrected on the third day in victory over death. A person is saved by God's grace, from eternal death, by putting their faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. Jesus will one day gather His believers during the rapture and will return, after

the Tribulation, to establish His kingdom on earth, which will later be followed by the establishment of a new heaven and earth. The Bible is God's inerrant, infallible Word.

Thank You Lord for the peace we have through our relationship we have with You!

Last week, in David Jeremiah's devotional book, “Walking with God,” was one of those stories that stays with you for a while.
It is called “Now.” It was about a pastor that took an evangelist with him to visit a farmer. All the members of his family, except for him, had trusted in Jesus Christ during a recent revival.
When he was introduced to the evangelist, he was offended that the pastor brought the evangelist with him. The farmer said, “I didn’t ask you to bring anyone out here to preach to me. I know where the church is. Anytime I want to hear anybody preach, I’ll go to church. I’m going to be saved sometime, but not till I’m good and ready.”
The next Monday the pastor got a phone call with an urgent message for him to go to the farmer’s house. The farmer had fallen from the hay loft and died instantly, in the very spot where two days earlier he had declared, “I’ll get saved when I’m good and ready.”
How tagic for the farmer and his family. We have no promise of tomorrow. If you have not trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, do so now, while you still can.
May this also be a lesson for us to share our faith with others, we may have been putting off, till an opportune moment. Will they be here tomorrow? Will you? We don’t know.
Now is the time!

Thank You Lord, for another day to praise You!
