There are so many ways in which life can come crashing in on you, but there is no reason to fear. Whether you have walked down the wrong path in life or been forced down it for reasons you had no control over. I AM with you and I will deliver you.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. PSALM 23:4

This scripture reminds me of 2 Timothy 1:7; "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (NKJV). When we become fearful, we can be sure that the enemy is at work, not God. Sometimes we think of fear as a human emotion, but it is actually a spirit. The spirit of fear often operates as a thought or a whisper telling you that you have every reason to be afraid and that God has forgotten you or will not help you.

No matter how fear comes against you, remember that it comes from the enemy, and remember that God is always with you and has not given you a spirit of fear.

We often pray for peace. But we already have Jesus' peace. He gave us that peace before He departed this world. However, we must hold on to it by staying in peace and being anxious, worried, troubled, or afraid.
