Who will be at our 2026 head table? Great question!

Rachel Goodlad, a proud Houston native and two-time Houston Business Journal honoree (40 Under 40 and Women Who Mean Business), leads national expansion at Alpha School. When her husband, Nathan, was diagnosed with cancer, Rachel saw how much families, especially those with young children, need someone to help them understand a diagnosis and find the path forward. She teamed up with Cancer Support Network (CanSup) to do exactly that, helping families nationwide navigate a cancer diagnosis from the first moment through every decision that follows. For years, she has served on the boards of Wonders & Worries, Kesem, and the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann, each dedicated to supporting children and families through a cancer diagnosis. A philanthropist rooted in her community, Rachel also sits on several local boards across Montgomery County, including The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership and New Danville. She and Nathan live in Spring with their children, Fitz and Quinn.

Fitz is a nine-year-old who loves sports (especially his beloved Houston Rockets), reading, rollerblading, and diving into any new subject he can find. Since his cancer diagnosis, he has met every day with humor, courage, and faith well beyond his years, inspiring tens of millions with his signature call to “Stay Activated.”

Who will be at our 2026 head table? Great question!

Jon Bonck is a Christian, a husband, and a father from Greater Houston who strives to lead with faith and serve others well. After graduating from LSU, Jon moved to Houston and spent five years in the oil and gas industry before he and his wife, Laura, built a two-decade career in real estate and mortgages, helping families navigate one of life’s biggest decisions and achieve the dream of homeownership.
Through that work, Jon has seen firsthand the challenges many families face today—rising costs, uncertainty, and systems that too often make life harder instead of easier. He believes we are called to serve, to lead with integrity, and to stand firm in our values, both in our communities and in our country.
Jon is running for Congress because he feels a responsibility to step up and serve to bring those same principles of faith, family, and stewardship to Washington, and to work toward a future where the American dream is reachable again.

Who will be at our 2026 head table? Great question!

Keith Garvin is an Emmy, Murrow, & AP  award-winning news anchor at KPRC2. He joined the station in 2012 and took over the role of 5, 6, & 10 o’clock anchor in 2022. Keith’s broadcast career began 32 years ago after graduating from the Don Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, which he attended on a football scholarship. 

During his time at KPRC 2, he has covered a number of major stories including the Summer Olympics from Tokyo, Brazil and Paris, two presidential inaugurations, the papal visits to the U.S. & Mexico, and four World Series with the Houston Astros. 

Previously, as a correspondent for ABC News, Keith covered the war in Iraq and traveled frequently with the White House. He has also covered several hurricanes, including the landfall & aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, and has reported from Afghanistan & Rwanda. 

Keith and his wife Lisa have 4 daughters & a grandson and are members of Second Baptist Church where Lisa is a Director of Children’s Ministry & Keith serves as a deacon. He also holds a master’s degree in cultural apologetics from Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University.

Twila Carter is a dedicated public servant and dynamic leader with a deep commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Houston. With a career spanning both the private and nonprofit sectors, she brings a strategic and compassionate approach to her role as Houston City Council Member At-Large, Position 3. Prior to her election to City Council, she spent more than a decade as Senior Vice President of Community Relations for the Houston Astros and as Executive Director of the Astros Foundation. Under her leadership, the Foundation raised over $60 million to support programs that uplift underserved communities and enhance quality of life across the city. Raised in humble circumstances and often reliant on welfare as a child, Council Member Carter has worked diligently to break cycles of poverty. Today, she champions policies that promote collaboration, accountability, and meaningful progress for all Houstonians. Council Member Carter knows that safe communities are prosperous communities. Her commitment to the men and women in uniform runs deep and she is committed to fully funding law enforcement. A passionate advocate for families and survivors of domestic violence, she serves as a board member of the Texas Council on Family Violence, is an ExOfficio Director of Houston First Corporation, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC). Her past board service includes Family Time Crisis and Counseling Center, Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA), United Service Organizations (USO), YMCA of Greater Houston, and the Houston Police Foundation. She leads the City of Houston’s Resilience Committee as Chair, in addition to serving as Vice Chair of the Ethics and Governance Committee. Council Member Carter resides in Kingwood and is a member of Kingwood Methodist Church. Abraham Guajardo!

Born and raised in Houston, TX, Abraham carries a deep love for one of the most diverse cities in the nation and a calling to bring people together. After graduating from the police academy, he realized his purpose extended beyond protecting and serving to uniting people from all walks of life.

Abraham is the senior pastor of Eden Church Houston, a growing church in the heart of the city with a vision to see Houston become a garden where people encounter Jesus and community is restored.

He is a husband to Alena and a father to Zion Houston, Zoe Eden, and Anastasia Grace. His heart is for unity across Houston and beyond, with a simple conviction: we don’t always have to cross the world, but we must be willing to cross the street.

Who will be at our 2026 head table? Great question!

Joe Paulo has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Hope Media Group since 2018. During this time, Hope Media Group has extended its media offerings to include a growing podcast network, digital content brand Hope Nation, the God Listens prayer app, branded music apps NGEN and Way Loud, plus a multi-market event production and promotion arm. Joe led through the historic merger of two highly successful nonprofits that resulted in Hope Media Group bringing together the national radio network WayFM and the largest Christian radio station in America, KSBJ in Houston. In less than two years from launch, HMG’s newest media platform, the Spanish-language radio network, Vida Unida, is now reaching 3 of the nation’s 4 largest Spanish-speaking markets: Houston, Miami, and New York City. With an extensive background in media and leadership, Joe began at KSBJ (now Hope Media Group) as Vice-President of Operations in 2017 after serving at Educational Media Foundation (K-LOVE/Air1) and Columbia International University. Joe has also provided volunteer leadership at the board of director and advisory levels for other nonprofits such as Youth Commission International, Christian Music Broadcasters, and Crime Stoppers of Houston. His MBA is from Liberty University in 2014. 
 
In addition to being a wife and mom, Kelly homeschooled their children for over 20 years. She has recently served as a librarian for a local Christian school and has her B.S. in French and International Studies from Baldwin-Wallace University.
 
Joe and Kelly have been married for 35 years and live in the Houston area. They are blessed with three daughters, two sons and three grandchildren.
