We welcomed a new sister in Christ this morning! We were so happy that Mariel has chosen to put on her Lord in baptism! We are excited to add her to our family. To God be the glory!

Join us Sunday morning as we continue our series in Mark. We will discuss "Taming the Beasts." We all face temptations. Every day, it is an issue. And what tempts us is different for each of us. Even when we intend to do good, temptation is there. But there IS a way out. Jesus has experienced everything we face, and he has overcome! He has left us tools so that we too can overcome. We need Jesus in order to handle it.

"At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him." Mark 1:12-13

Join us Sunday morning as we return to the gospel of Mark and discuss "This Is My Beloved Son." In the passage for Sunday, we see that Jesus was baptized. Obviously, Jesus never sinned and did not need to be baptized for forgiveness. He did it out of obedience and to fulfill prophecy, but also to connect to us and show us what to do. We can submit and be obedient to our Father, and He will be well-pleased with us as He was with Jesus.

"Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: 'You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.'" Mark 1:10-11
