HONOR PART 5// BISHOP PHINEHAS KINUTHIA

Don't start your day scrolling through social media and the news, then wonder why your heart is filled with anxiety instead of peace. Before you give your attention to the world, give your attention to God. ☝️

Don't allow success, accomplishments, or blessings to make you forget the One who made them possible. Trust God above worldly pursuits, and place Him first in every area of your life. When you bring your best to Him in faith, obedience, and sacrifice, He is faithful to pour back into your life in ways you never expected.

Honor isn't based on whether someone deserves it—it's a reflection of your character. Honor others because you are honorable. Let your words align with your actions. See people for who they truly are, not who you wish them to be. Honor does not ignore mistakes, but it chooses grace over judgment.

Keep your heart open. Forgiveness is often the doorway to healing, freedom, and the blessings God desires to release in your life. Honor your parents. Honor the elderly. Honor those around you as fellow children of God. Honor is not merely a suggestion—it is a Kingdom principle. 👑

🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me to seek You first before the distractions of this world. Teach me to walk in humility, honor, and obedience. Give me a heart that forgives quickly, loves deeply, and reflects Your grace. Let my words and actions be aligned, and help me never forget Your faithfulness in every season. MENtality met outside the four walls of the church to build brotherhood, strengthen fellowship, and simply enjoy doing life together. After service yesterday, we gathered once again for our Guest Connect — a special time where new visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the heart of our church, the different ministries, and the many ways to grow, serve, and get connected within the Faith City family.

The room was filled with laughter, honest and vulnerable conversations, new connections, and of course… pizza! 🍕 Moments like these remind us that church is more than a service — it’s a community where lives are strengthened, relationships are built, and everyone has a place to belong. We’re so grateful for every new face that joined us!

HONOR: Part 4 Honoring God
Senior Pastor Phinehas Kinuthia

Pride is not always loud arrogance. Sometimes, it looks like self-reliance — believing we can carry the weight of life without God. But God was never meant to be a backup plan when our own plans fail. He desires to be first, not an afterthought. 🥇

Be careful what takes His place in your heart. A relationship, your children, success, money, or a career can quietly become an idol when we depend on them more than we depend on Him.

Our flesh naturally leans toward disobedience, but God calls us higher. He calls us to walk in honor, obedience, and surrender. Keep His Word hidden in your heart so that when life tests you, truth remains rooted within you. 🪾

Obedience will require sacrifice. Sometimes it means enduring seasons that are uncomfortable, painful, and difficult to understand. You cannot always run from the process — some things must be endured so God can transform you through them.

Honor Him even when it doesn’t make sense. Trust Him even when the outcome is unclear. And daily cultivate a desire to live a life that reflects His heart, His holiness, and His love. 🪞

Prayer 🙏
Father, remove every form of pride and self-reliance within me. Teach me to trust You fully and place nothing above You. Help me to walk in obedience even when it is difficult, and give me the strength to endure every season with faith and honor. Hide Your Word deep within my heart so that my life reflects Your will and not my own desires. Create in me a deeper hunger to live a Godly life that pleases You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
