Gospel for the 13th and final Sunday in Spring

Then the Son of Man will come down in the clouds with great glory and power, accompanied by a multitude of angels. These will gather his elect from the four winds, and separate men from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. The king will say to his chosen, come, beloved of my Father, come and possess the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world. To the others, he will say: withdraw from me, and disappear into the eternal ether of the cenome.

As Ieshu was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Master, see what a stone and what a building. But he said to them, “You see all these buildings, not one stone will be left standing. Everything will be destroyed. There will be earthquakes, and people will rise up against each other. The sun will be darkened, the moon will no longer give its light, the stars will disappear.

Gospel for the Eleventh Sunday in Spring

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Gospel Reading for the Tenth Sunday of Spring

If you love me, keep my commands, and I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete to always be with you, the spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

You did not choose me, but I chose you, and made you apostles, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give you. This I commend to you, that you love one another. If the world hates you, know that it hated me first. If you had been of the world, the world would love what is its own, but because you are not of the world, and I have chosen you from among the world, for this reason the world will hate you. But when the Paraclete comes upon you, whom I will send from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me, and so will you bear witness, because you are with me from the beginning. I tell you these things so that, being open, they may not be an occasion for you to fall.

On that day, Ieshu went to a mountain and spent the whole night praying to God. And when day came, he called his disciples, and chose twelve of them to be with him, and to send them out to preach. These are the ones we call apostles (sent out), namely Simon, to whom he gave the nickname Peter, James, son of Zebedee, and John his brother, to whom he gave the name Boanerges, i.e. son of thunder, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James, son of Alphaeus, Simon, the Canaanite, Judas of Iscariot, who was a traitor. And gave them these commandments: go and teach, saying: the heavenly kingdom is drawing near. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out the elementals. You have received freely, give freely.

One morning, Ieshu appeared to his disciples and said to them: “Behold, I have come to send you the promised gift from my Father. Stay at rest in the city (Ieroschalaim) until you are clothed with power from on high. And when he had said these words, while they were looking at him, he rose from the earth, and a cloud took him away from before their eyes. Lord Ieshu then entered heaven, where he sat at the right hand of God the Father.
