When we come to the house of the Lord, sit back and relax; let God take over.
Do your part, and God will do His.
Most of us, only observe the abundant blessings/opportunities God has given us, but we don’t obey his daily instruction. We envy others’ progress, wondering how, when, who… the secret is to obey God’s daily instruction. Do your part and God will do His
Main message : The Power of a Vision
We’re half way through the year.
Indian saying: A man who doesn’t have a vision cannot fly.
The Lord deposits a vision in you; don’t leave that vision behind.
Stop comparing your present to your past because when at a new level, you may get comfortable and not want to aspire more.
God is not done with you yet; there’s more for you.
What is a vision?
A visit is a clear mental picture of what you are to become or where you are going.
It’s not a dream; your senses are conscious about it.
Just like we lose our natural vision and need to go for an eye examination, our spiritual vision needs to be evaluated, otherwise we are at risk of losing it over time.
Keep your vision close to you; revisit daily. Or vision comes from God, so to be close to our vision, we need to be close to God.
God gives clarity in decision-making to direct you into the vision He has for your destiny.
Aman who has a bison does not follow another man (unless it is instructed by God). We have unique destinies. We may have destiny helpers, but our destinations differ.
Proverbs 29:18
“Where there is no prophetic vision, the people cut off restraint (they run wild, they perish”
Lack of direction is equivalent to destruction. There must be a Word (the Word of God) that leads you into your destiny, in order to preserve you. Meditate on the scripture to stir up your spirit.
We are in this world, but not of it. Our habits and tendencies should be different. What we are called to do is our destiny. What you have in your heart and mind is inspired by God.
Testimonies attest to this. Look at your track record. Hasn’t God been speaking, leading, directing…?
If you don’t give up.
Do you remember how many times you prayed? How many times you fasted? You never lost your vision.
Most people lose their vision when they get somewhere along the line… they get comfortable… they get complacent… they get distracted.
Stay under the covering of the Lord; stay in fellowship with other believers. You won’t be swayed.
Your vision will make you respond extraordinarily. David lost His son, and still went to worship.
Habakkuk 2:1
“I will stand at my watch post, and station myself on the lookout tower. I will watch to see what He will say to me and what He will reply about my complaint”
Vs. 2 “The Lord answered me: Write Dow this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it”
Position your self, Stand on what God has said and see it coming; don’t fall asleep. He speaks to you! Don’t listen to the many voices. When Jesus speaks, changes are beginning.
Sometimes you go through a season to teach you how to hear His voice and obey.
When your watching, be careful not to be allured but the pleasures you might see.
Not everyone will encourage you; don’t tell everyone your vision.
Joseph’s family members discouraged his dream. Keep you vision within you. You discouraged are only going to divert you.
Habakkuk 2:2
Write down your vision. Your vision must be readable and clear.
Vs3 “For the vision is for an appointed time. It speaks for itself and it shall not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.”
A vision will have challenges; it will actually drive you towards obstacles, but at the appointed time, it will come into fruition.
This no will not unfold at the rate/time you are anticipating. The vision is for an appointed time, appointed by God. Don’t give up!
This is the story of our church. We’re approaching our 8th year anniversary and only this year are we seeing exponential growth - the Year of Increase, an appointed time!
Your vision is coming to pass even if it tarries. Don’t give up; stay close to God until He fulfills it because He will.
Luke 19:40
“He answered, ‘I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out’”
Even if people go silent on you, God will raise “stones” to cry out. You will attain your destiny. Hold on to your vision.
Now as a church we are going BEYOND! This is the Word of God for the church.
