Advent Ladies enjoyed brunch and coffee last Saturday. The morning consisted of “get to know you” conversations and a delightful coffee mug swap. (Maybe soon Texas will grace us with the fall weather to match!) 👀🍁

The next Advent women’s event is Women Who Walk, on October 24. Join Advent ladies for a walk around the neighborhood with your favorite mug. We hope to see you there!

Last week, Taylor shared with us a message of encouragement, a great reminder that our identity is not found in what we achieve, but in the steadfast love of God as demonstrated in the person of Christ. Join us next Sunday as we continue this sermon series, "Who Do You Think You Are?"

Houston Haven's desire is to "LOVE people undergoing cancer treatment by providing a haven for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs," and we are so thankful for the opportunity to serve our community through their organization. As we spend this sermon series reflecting on who we are, take a moment today to reflect on your vocation, or calling. Consider how the things that bring you deep gladness in your work meet and address the needs of the world around you.

Before we can answer any other question about our lives, we have to answer this one: what does it mean to be human? This new sermon series explores what it means to be made in the image of God, and how that truth, not our culture, our achievements, or our feelings, is the only place we can actually begin to know who we are.

Join us at Advent Presbyterian Church this Sunday, September 13 as we begin this new sermon series!
