BEWARE OF ANOTHER GOSPEL!
If the gospel you heard or are hearing, denies you the ASSURANCE and INSURANCE OF SALVATION, it is false or another gospel! Which is not another. Galatians 1:6-8
- The gospel that tells you, Heaven will only be at last...?
- You are saved, but...?
- Jesus died and rose again, except that his victory will be dependent on your works?
A fundamental fabric of the Christian Faith is a clear understanding of what the gospel is and what it provides. Mark 16:15.
The word, ‘gospel’ implies a specific and definite message. "EUAGGELION", derived from two words “AGGELOS” and “EU”, is an old Greek word which describes an announcement of victory at war. So the gospel of Christ is an announcement of what he has done - Good News. Romans 1:16.
The Gospel is good news because it has assurance and insurance of what it offers - Salvation through faith in Christ. It is predicated on the finished work of Christ. John 3:16-17, John 10:28-29, Hebrews 7:25.
