Antiphon Prayer:
O Lord, Lover of Mankind, who are wonderful in your saints, who are the source of all holiness, You gave us your divine command: Be holy for I am Holy. You poured the Spirit of Holiness in our hearts. You made us temples for your glory. We pray You, by your mercy, to make us faithful to that Life-giving Spirit. Enlighten our minds so that we may understand your Plan of Salvation and please You by doing your will all our life.
For You are the wellspring of all holiness, and to You we render glory, thanksgiving and worship, Father, Son and Holy spirit, now and always and forever and ever.
People: Amen.

صلاة الأنديفونة:
أيُها الربُّ المحبُّ البشر، يا مَن هو عجيبٌ في قدِّيسيه وينبوع كلِّ قداسة، يا مَن دعانا بأمره الإلهيّ: كونوا قدِّيسين لأني أنا قدوس، وأفاض في قلوبنا روحَ القداسة، وجعلنا هياكل له، نسألُ مراحمك أنْ تجعلنا أُمناءَ لهذا الروحِ المحيي، وتُنيرَ منا العقول لنُدركَ تدبيرَِك الخلاصيّ، ونعملَ بحَسبِ ما يُرضيكَ كلُ أيَّامِ حياتنا

انحدرت من العلاءِ أيها التحنن، وقبلتَ الدفنَ ثلاثةَ أيام، لكي تعتقنا من الآلام، فيا حياتنا وقيامتنا، يا رب المجد لك.

Troparion of All Saints: (Tone 4)
O Christ God, your church clothed with the blood of Your martyrs all over the world, as with purple and fine linen, cries out to You: send Your mercy upon Your people, grant peace to Your fold and extend Your great compassion upon our souls.

أَيها المسيحُ الإله، ان كنيستَك المتسربلةَ دماءَ شهدائِك الذين في كلِ العالم، مثل بَزٍّ وأُرجوان، تهتفُ اليكَ بواسطتِهم: أَرسل رأْفتَكَ على شعبك، وهَبْ لرعيتَِك السلام، ولنفوسِنا عظيمَ الرحمة.

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

O Faithful let us prepare our hearts as precious vessels to partake of the Lord’s Banquet, with pure dispositions, and let us offer a hymn of praise in preparation to this great festivity.

Awesome in His saints is God, the God of Israel.

Reading from the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews
BRETHREN, all of the saints by faith conquered kingdoms, wrought justice, obtained the fulfillment of promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, recovered strength from weakness, became valiant in battle, routed foreign armies. Women had their dead returned to them through resurrection. Others were tortured, refusing to yield for their release, in order to obtain a better resurrection. Others again suffered mockery and beatings, even chains and jailings. They were stoned, they were cut to pieces, they were put to the test, they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, anguished, afflicted (of whom the world was not worthy) wandering in deserts, mountains, caverns and holes in the ground.
And all of these, in spite of the positive witnessing of faith, failed to receive what was promised, for God was keeping something better in store for us, so that they were not to reach their final perfection without us.
(12: 1) And so, having such a cloud of witnesses over us, let us get rid of every burden, and of the sin entangling us, and run with endurance to the fight proposed to us, contemplating the author and final end of faith, Jesus.

الرسالة (عبرانيين 11: 33 الى 12 2 آ)

Gospel: Mt 10:32-38 & 19:27-30 - 1st Sunday after Pentecost

The Lord said to His disciples, “Everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I in turn will disown before My Father in heaven. Anyone who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.” Then Peter addressed him saying, “Behold, we have left all and followed You; what then shall we have?” And Jesus said to them, “Amen I say to you that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of His glory, shall also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall possess life everlasting. But many who are first now will be last, and many who are last now will be first.”

1. For the faithful people here present who implore the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord.
1- لأجلِ الشعب المؤمنِ المنتظرِ نعمةَ الروحِ القُدُس وحلولَه الى الربِّ نطلب
2. That the Holy Spirit may strengthen us and guide us to attain our ultimate destiny by pleasing Him, let us pray to the Lord.
2- لأجل أن يُقوِّينا الروحُ ويهَدينا لبلوغِ نهايةٍ حسنةٍ الارضاءِ له، الى الربِّ نطلب
3. That the Lord God may grant us His abundant mercy and regenerate our life by the grace of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord.
3- لأجل أن يُرسِل لنا الربُّ الإله رحمتَه الغنَّية، ويُجدِّد فينا روحَه الصالح، إلى الربِّ نطلب
4. That He may accept our prayer like incense before Him and grant all of us His divine help, let us pray to the Lord.

Antiphon prayer
O Lord, Lover of Mankind, You sent the divine grace of Your All-holy Spirit upon the Disciples. We pray You to grant Him to us. Illumine our hearts with the light of His presence, so that, with restless voices, we may sing hymns of praise to Your All-holy and Undivided Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever.

When the Most High came down and confused the tongues (in Babel), He divided the nations; but when He distributed the tongues of fire, He called all men to unity. Wherefore, we glorify the Holy spirit, with one accord.

READING from the Acts of the Apostles
When the days of Pentecost were ending, the disciples were all together in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a violent wind blowing, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them separate tongues as of fire, and they settled upon each one of them, and all were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in foreign tongues, as the Holy Spirit granted them to speak.
Now, there were staying in Jerusalem devout Jews from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, a great crowd gathered, and they were astounded because each one heard them speaking in his own language. And all of them, amazed and wondering, were saying to each other, “Look, are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? How then have all of us heard our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Lybia around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, Jews also and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs, we have heard them speaking in our own language of the wonderful works of God.”

مقدمة الرسالة
في كل الارض ذاع منطقهم، والى اقاصي المسكونة كلامهم
السماوات تذيع مجدَ الله، والفلك يُخبرُ بأعمال يديه
الرسالة (اعمال الرسل 2: 1 – 11)
لما حلَّ يوم الخمسين، كان الرسل كلهم معاً في مكانٍ واحد. فحدثَ بغتةً صوتٌ من السماء، كصوت ريح شديدةٍ تعصف، وملأ كل البيتِ الذي كانوا جالسين فيه. وظهرت لهم ألسنهٌ منقسمةٌ كأنها من نار، واستقرت على كل واحدٍ منهم. فامتلأوا كلهم من الروح القدس، وطفقوا يتكلمون بلغات أخرى، كما آتاهم الروح أن ينطقوا. وكان في أورشليم رجالٌ من اليهود أتقياء من كل أمة تحت السماء. فلما كان ذلك الصوت، اجتمعَ الجمهور فتحيروا، لآن كل واحدٍ كان يسمعهم ينطقون بلغته. فدهشوا جميعهم وتعجبوا قائلين بعضهم لبعض: أليس هؤلاءِ المتكلمون كلهم جليليين؟ فكيف نسمع كلٌ منا لغته التي ولدَ فيها؟ نحن الفرتيين والماديين والعيلاميين، وسكان ما بين النهرين واليهوديةِ وكبادوكية َوبنطس وآسية، وفريجية وبمفيلية َومصر، ونواحي ليبةَ عند القيروان، والرومانيين المستوطنين واليهود والدخلاء والكريتيينَ والعرب، نسمعهم ينطقونَ بألسنتنا بعظائم الله.

PENTECOST SUNDAY
THE HOLY GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST
Now on the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Anyone who believes in Me, as the Scripture says, ‘From within him there shall flow rivers of living water.’” He said this, however, of the Spirit, whom they who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit had not yet been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. Some of the crowd, therefore, when they had heard these words, said, “This is truly the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” Some, however, said, “Can the Christ come from Galilee? Does not the Scripture say it is of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived, that the Christ is to come?” So there arose a division among the crowd because of Him. And some of them wanted to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him. The attendants therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and these said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?” The attendants answered, “Never has man spoken as this Man.” The Pharisees then answered them, “Have you also been fooled? Has any one of the rulers believed in Him, or any of the Pharisees? But this crowd, which does not know the Law, is accursed.” Nicodemus, the man who had come to Him at night, who was one of them, said to them, “Does our Law judge a man unless it first gives him a hearing, and knows what he does?” They answered and said to him, “Are you also a Galilean? Search and see that out of Galilee arises no prophet.” And again Jesus spoke to them saying, “I am the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me does not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

انجيل العنصرة (يوحنا 7: 37 -52 & 8-12)
في اليوم الأخير العظيم من العيد، وقف يسوعُ وصاح قائلاً: إن عطشَ أحدٌ فليأتِ اليّ ويشرب. من آمن بي، فكما قال الكتاب، ستجري من جوفه أنهار ماء حي. إنما قال هذا عن الروح الذي كان المؤمنون به مزمعينَ أنْ يقبلوه، فالروحُ القدسُ لم يكنْ قد أعطى، لأن يسوع لم يكن بعدُ قد مُجد. وإذ سَمعَ كثيرٌ من الجمعِ كلامه قالوا: في الحقيقة هذا هو النبيّ. وقال آخرون: هذا هو المسيح. وقال آخرون: ألعلَ المسيحَ يأتي من الجليل؟ ألم يَقـُل ِالكتابُ أن من نسلِ داودَ ومن قرية بيت لحم، حيث كان داود، يأتي المسيح. فوقع بينَ الجمع شقاقٌ من أجله. وكان أ ُناسٌ منهم يريدون أن يمسكوه، ولكن لم يُلقِ أحدٌ عليه يداً. ورجع الخدامُ الى رؤساء الكهنة والفريسيين، فقال لهم أولئك: لمَ لم تأتوا به؟ فأجاب الخدام: إنه ما نطق إنسانٌ قط مثل هذا الانسان. فأجابهم الفريسيون: ألعلكم أنتم أيضاً قد ضللتم؟ هل آمن به أحدٌ من الرؤساء أو من الفريسيين؟ أما هؤلاء الجمع الذين لا يعرفونَ الناموسَ فهم ملعونون. قال لهم أحدهم نيقوديموس الذي كان قد جاء الى يسوع ليلاً: ألعل شريعتنا تحكم على انسانٍ ما لم تسمع منه أولاً وتعلم ما فعل؟ فأجابوا وقالوا له: ألعلك أنت أيضاً من الجليل؟ ابحث وانظر، إنه لم يقم نبيٌ من الجليل. ثم كلمهم أيضاً يسوع قائلاً: أنا نور العالم، من تبعني فلا يمشي في الظلام، بل يكونُ لهُ نورُ الحياة.

Hymn to the Theotokos: Hirmos of the 9th Ode
Hail, O Queen, glory of virgins and mothers: for your praise is beyond the eloquence of the most cultured tongues, and the wonderful manner in which you gave birth to Christ throws every intelligence into amazement. Wherefore we the faithful magnify you with one accord.

النشيد لوالدة الاله على اللحن السابع
يا والدةَ الالهِ العذراء، لقد حبلتِ ولم يمسكَ فساد، وأقرضتِ جسداً للكلمةَ البارئ الكلِ، أيتها الامُ التي لم تعرف رجلاً، الصائرة خزانة للغير الموسوع، ومسكناً لخالقك غير المحدود، إياك نعظم.

Antiphon Prayer:
O Lord, Who are Good beyond description, we ask You through the intercession of Your All-pure Mother and the Holy Fathers who participated in the Ecumenical Councils, to support the Church, uphold the faith and make us all partake of Your heavenly Kingdom, when You come to judge the whole creation.
For You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, O Christ God and we render glory, to You and to Your Eternal Father and Your All-holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and always and for ever and ever. Amen.

صلاة الأنديفونة: أيها الربُّ الفائقُ الصَّلاح، نسألُك، بشفاعة والدتكَ الكاملةِ الطهارة والآباء القدِّيسين الذين التأموا في المجامع المسكونيَّة، أن تُثبِّتَ الكنيسةَ وتُؤيَّد الايمان، وتجعلَنا جميعاً شركاءَ في مُلكِكَ السَّماويّ، عندما تأتي ليدينَ الخليقة بأسرها
لأنك أنتَ هو الحقُّ والحياة وإليك نرفعُ المجد، وإلى أبيك الأزليَّ وروحكَ القدَّوس الصالح والمحيي، الآن وكلَّ واوان وإلى دهر الداهرين آمين.

إن القوات الملائكةَ ظهرتْ على قبرِك، والحراسَ صاروا كالأموات، ومريمَ وقفتْ عند القبر، طالبةُ جسدك الطاهر. فسلبتَ الجحيمَ ولم تنلكَ بأذى، ولاقيت البتولَ واهباً الحياة. فيا من قام من بينِ الاموات، يا رب المجدُ لك.

Troparion of the Ascension: (Tone 4)
You ascended in glory, O Christ our God, and gladdened Your disciples by the promise of the Holy Spirit. Through Your blessing they were confirmed in their belief that You are the Son of God, the Redeemer of the world.

لقد صعدتَ بمجدٍ أَيَّها المسيحُ إِلهُنا، مُفرَّحاً تلاميذَكَ بموَعِد الرُّوح القُدُس. وقد تيَّقنوا بالبركة، أنَّكَ أنتَ ابنُ اللهِ المنقذُ العالم.

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

Kondakion of the Ascension: (Tone 6)
After fulfilling for us Your plan of redemption and joining the things of earth with those of heaven, O Christ our God, You gloriously ascended without abandoning us, but remained with us forever and reassured all who love You by telling them: “Behold, I am with you: no one has power against you.”

لما أكملت التدبيرَ الذي من أجلِنا، ووحَّدتَ ما على الارضِ بالسَّماويات، صعدتَ بمجدٍ أيُّها المسيحُ إِلهُنا، دون أن تَبرَحَ مكاناً، بل لابثاً غيرَ منفصلٍ وهاتِفاً بمحَّبيك: أنا معكم، وليس أحد عليكم.

READING from the Acts of the Apostles:
In those days Paul decided to sail past Ephesus so as not to waste time in Asia. For he was hurrying as much as he could in order to reach Jerusalem for the day of Pentecost. From Miletus, however, he had sent an invitation to Ephesus for the presbyters of the church. And when they had come to him, he said to them, (20:28) “Be careful about yourselves and the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has placed you as bishops, to herd the Church of God which He has redeemed through His own blood. For I know this, that after I am gone fierce wolves will get in among you and will not spare the flock. And from among you, some men will rise, speaking perverse doctrines, to draw away the disciples after them.
“Watch, therefore, and remember that for three years, night and day, I did not cease to warn with tears every one of you. And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace, Who is able to edify and to grant you an inheritance among all His blessed ones.
“I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothing. You, yourselves, know these hands of mine have provided for my needs and those of my companions. In all things, I have shown you that by working in this way you should help the weak, and remember that the Lord Jesus said in person, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” And after saying this, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

مباركُ أَنتَ ياربُّ إِلهَ آبائِنا، ومُسبحٌ وممجدٌ أسمكَ الى الدُّهور
لأَنكَ عادِكٌ في كلِ ما صنعتَ بنا. وأَعمالُكَ كُلُها حقيقيةٌ وطُرُقكَ مُستقيمة

Gospel: John 17:1-13 - THE SUNDAY OF THE HOLY FATHERS OF THE COUNCIL OF NICEA

At that time Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come! Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You, even as You have given Him power over all flesh, in order that to all You have given Him, He may give everlasting life. Now this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent, Jesus Christ. I have glorified You on earth; I have accomplished the work You have given Me to do. And now do You, Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed. I have manifested Your name to the men You have given me out of the world. They were Yours, and You have given them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have learned that whatever You have given Me is from You; because the words that You have given Me, I have given to them. And they have received them, and have known as a fact that I came forth from You, and they have believed that You did send Me. I pray for them; not for the world do I pray, but for those whom You have given Me, because they are Yours; and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep in Your name those You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. إنجيل أحد الآباء القديسين – يوحنا 17: 1-13)
في ذلك الزمان، رَفعَ يسوعُ عَينَيهِ الى السماءِ وقال: أَيها الاب، قد أتتِ الساعة. مَجدِ أبنَكَ ليُمجدكَ أَبنُكَ أَيضاً. كما أَعطيتَهُ السُّلطانَ على كلّ بشَر، ليُعطَيهم كلَّ ما أَعطَيتَهُ لهُ: الحياةَ الابدية. وهذه هي الحياةُ الابدية، أَن يَعرفوكَ أَنتَ الالهَ الحقيقيَّ وحدَك، والذي أَرسلتَهُ يسوعَ المسيح. أَنا قد مجدتُكَ على الارض، وأَتمْمتُ العملَ الذي أَعطيتَني لأَعملهُ. والآنَ مجِدني أَنتَ أَيُّها الآبُ عندَك، بالمجدِ الذي كانَ لي عِندكَ مِن قَبْلِ كَونِ العالَم. قد أَعلَنْتُ أسمَك للناسِ الذينَ أَعطيتهُم لي مِنَ العاَلم، هُم كانوا لك، وأنت أَعطَيتَهُم لي، وقد حَفِظوا كلامَك. والآن عَلمُوا أَن كُلَّ ما أَعطَيتهُ لي هو مِنك. لأَنَ الكلامَ الذي أَعطَيتَهُ لي قد أَعطيتُهُ لهم، وهم قَبِلوا وعَلموا حقَّاً أَني مِنك خرَجت، وآمنوا أَنَّك أَنتَ أَرسَلتَني. أَنا أَسأَلُ من أَجلِهم، لا أَسأَلُ من أَجلِ العالم، بَلْ من أَجلِ الذين اعطتَهم لي لأَنهم لك. وكلُّ ما هوَ لي هوَ لك، وما لكَ هو لي، وأَنا قد تمجَّدتُ فيهم. ولَستُ أَنا بعدُ في العاَلم، وهؤلاءِ هم في العالَم، وأَنا آتي إِليك. أَيها الآبُ القدّوسُ، احفَظْ باسمِكَ الذينَ أَعطيتَهم لي. ليَكونوا واحداً كما نحن. حينَ كنتُ معَهُم في العالم، كنتُ أحفظُهم باسمك. إِنَّ الذينَ أَعطَيتَهم لي قد حَفظتُهم، ولم يَهلكْ منهُم أَحَدٌ إَِّلا ابنُ الهلاك، ليَتمَّ الكتاب. والآنَ فإِني آتي إِليك، وأَنا أَتكلمُ بهذا في العالم، ليكونَ لهمُ فرَحي كامِلا ًفيهِم.
