إن القوات الملائكية ظهرتْ على قبرِك، والحراسَ صاروا كالأموات، ومريمَ وقفتْ عند القبر، طالبةُ جسدكَ الطاهر. فسلبتَ الجحيمَ ولم تنلكَ بأذى، ولاقيت البتولَ واهباً الحياة. فيا من قام من بينِ الاموات، يا رب المجدُ لك.
Troparion of Michael: (Tone 4)
O Captain and Leader of the armies of heaven, unworthy as we are, we beseech you without cease to surround us with your intercessions and cover us beneath the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory. We bend our knees and cry out with perseverance. “Deliver us from danger, O Prince of the Powers on high!”

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

Kondakion of the Nativity of the Theotokos: (Tone 4)
Through your holy birth, O Immaculate One, Joachim and Anne were delivered from the shame of childlessness, and Adam and Eve from the corruption of death. Your people, redeemed from the debt of their sins, cry out to you to honor your birth: “the barren one gives birth to the Mother of God the Sustainer of our life!”

ان يواكيمَ وحنةَ من عارِ العقر أطلقا، وآدمَ وحواءَ من فسادِ الموتِ أُعتِقا، بمولدِكِ المقدَّسِ أَيتها الطاهرة. فله يُعيّدُ شعبُكِ أَيضاً، وقد أُنقِذَ من تَبِعَةِ الزلاّت، صارخًا اليكِ: العاقرُ تَلِدُ والدةَ الالهِ مُغذّيَةَ حياتِنا.

The just shall rejoice in the Lord and place his hope in Him. All those with an upright heart shall be praised.

READING from the Second Epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians
BRETHREN, God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give enlightenment concerning the knowledge of God's glory, shining in Christ Jesus' face. But we carry this treasure in vessels of clay, to show that its superabundant power is God's, and not ours. In all things we suffer tribulation but we are not distressed, we are sorely pressed but we are not destitute, we endure persecution but we are not forsaken, we are cast down but we do not perish: always carrying around in our body the dying of Jesus, so that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our bodily frame. For we, the living, are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our mortal flesh. Thus, death is at work in us, but life in you.
But since we have the same spirit of faith, as shown in that which is written, I believed, and so I spoke, (Ps. 115:1) we also believed, wherefore we also speak. For we know that the One Who raised up the Lord Jesus will raise us up also together with Jesus, and will place us with you. For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace that abounds through the many may cause thanksgiving to abound for God's glory.

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree and shall grow like the cedar of Lebanon.

مقدمة الرسالة
خلِّص يا ربُّ شعبك، وبارِك ميراثَك
إِليكَ يا ربُّ أَصرُخ. إِلهي لا تَتصامَمْ عني
فصلٌ من رسالة القديس بُولسَ الرسولِ الثانية إِلى اهلِ كُورِنثُس (2 كورنثس 4: 6-15)
يا إِخوة، إِنَّ اللهَ الذي أَمرَ أَنْ يُشرِقَ مِن ظُلمَةٍ نُورٌ، هوَ الذي أَشرقَ في قلوبنا لإنارَةِ مَعرِفةِ مَجدِ اللهِ في وَجهِ يَسوعَ المسيح. ولنا هذا الكنزُ في آنيةٍ خَزفيةٍ، ليَكونَ فَضلُ القُوَّةِ للهِ لا مِنَّا. وفي كل شيءٍ نحنُ متضايقون، لكنَّا غيرُ منحصرين، ومتحيرونَ لكنَّا غيرُ يائسين، ومضطهَدون لكنَّا غيرُ مخذولين، ومطروحون لكنَّا غير هالكين، حاملونَ في الجسدِ كلَّ حينٍ إِماتةَ يسوع، لتظهرَ حياةُ يسوعَ أيضاً في جسدِنا. لأنَّا نحنُ الاحياء نُسْلمُ دائماً للموتِ من اجلِ يسوع، لتظهرَ حياةُ يسوعَ ايضاً في جسدِنا المائت. فالموت اذنْ يُجري فينا والحياةُ فيكم. فاذ فينا روحُ الايمانِ الواحد، على حسب ما كُتِب، إِني آمنتُ ولذلك تكلمت، نحنُ ايضاً نؤمنُ ولذلك نتكلَّم، عالمينَّ انَّ الذي اقامَ الربََّ يسوع، سيقٌيمُنا نحن ايضاً بيسوعَ ويجعلُنا معكم. لان كلَّ الاشياءِ هي من اجلكم، حتى اذا تكاثرتِ النعمةُ بشكرِ الاكثرينَ تفيضُ لمجدِ الله.

Gospel: Matthew 22: 35-46 - 15th Sunday of Pentecost (The Greatest Commandment)

AT that time one of the doctors of the Law, putting Jesus to the test, asked him, “Master, which is the great commandment in the Law?” Jesus said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Now while the Pharisees were gathered, Jesus questioned them, saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “David’s.” He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ‘The Lord said to my Lord: Sit thou at my right hand till I make thy enemies thy footstool?’ If David, therefore, calls him Lord, how is he his son?” And no one could answer him a word; neither did anyone dare from that day forth to ask him any more questions.

الإنجيل (متى 22: 35 – 46) الإنجيل الخامس عشر بعد العنصرة
في ذلك الزمان، دنا الى يسوعَ واحدٌ من عُلماءِ الناموس مجرّباً له وقائلاً: يا معِلّم، ما أعظمُ الوصايا في الناموس؟ فقال له يسوع: أَحبِب الربَّ إِلهك بكلِّ قلبك، وكلِّ نفسِك، وكلِّ ذِهنِك. هذه هي الوصيةُ الأولى والعظمى. والثانيةُ تُشبِهُها، أَحببْ قريبَك كنفسِك. بهاتَينِ الوَصيَّتينِ يتعلَّقُ الناموسُ كلُهُ والأنبياء. وفيما الفَرِّيسيُّون مُجتمعونَ سأَلهم يسوعُ قائلاً: ماذا تَظنُّون في المسيحِ، ابنُ مَن هو؟ قالوا له: ابنُ داود. قال: كيفَ يدعوهُ داود بالروحِ ربَّهُ قائلاً: قال الربُّ لربي، اجلس عن يَميني حتى اجعلَ أَعداءَك موطئاً لقدميك؟ فإِنْ كان داودُ يدعوه ربًّا، فكيفَ يكونُ هو ابنَهُ. فلم يستطعْ أَحدٌ أَن يُجيبَهُ بكلمة. ومن ذلك اليوم، لم يَعُد يجسرُ أَحدٌ ان يُلقي عليه سؤالاً.

Let us, O faithful, praise and worship the word, coeternal with the Father and the Spirit, born of the Virgin for our Salvation, for He was pleased to be lifted in the flesh upon the cross, and to endure death, and to raise the dead by His glorious resurrection.

لننشد نحن المؤمنين ونسجدْ للكلمة، الأزلي مع الآبِ والروح، المولود من العذراء لخلاصنا. لأنه ارتضى أن يصعدَ بالجسدِ على الصليب، ويحتمل الموت، وينهض َ الموتى بقيامته المجيدة.

BRETHREN, the one who strengthened you and us in Christ, who anointed us, is God, who also stamped us with his seal and gave us the Spirit as a pledge in our hearts. Now, I call God to witness against my soul that it was to spare you that I did not come again to Corinth. Not that we lord it over your faith, but rather we are fellow-workers in your joy, for in faith you stand.
(2: 1) I made up my mind not to come to you again in sorrow. For if I make you sad, who can gladden me; save the very one who is grieved by me? And I wrote to you as I did, that when I come I may not have sorrow upon sorrow from those who ought to give me joy: for I trust in all of you that my joy is a joy to all of you. For I wrote to you in much affliction and anguish of heart, with many tears, not that you might be grieved, but that you might know the great love I have for you.

مقدمة الرسالة
أَنتَ يا ربُّ تحفظُنا وتحمينا، من هذا الجيلِ وإِلى الدهر
خلصني يا ربُّ فإِن البارَّ قد فني، لان الحقيقةَ قد ضَعُف عندَ بني البشر
الرسالة (1 كورنثوس 1: 21 الى 2: 4)
يا اخوة، ان الذي يُثَبِتُنا معَكم في المسيح، وقد مَسحَنا، هو الله، الذي ختَمنا أَيضاً ومنحنا عربونَ الروحِ في قلوبنا. أَما أَنا فاستشهدُ اللهَ على نفسي، أَني لإِشفاقي عليكم لم آتِ أَيضاً الى كورنثوس، لا لأََنَّا نسودُ ايمانَكم، لكنَّا أَعوانُ فرحِكم، لأنكم ثابتون في الايمان. وقد حزمتُ بهذا في نفسي ان لا آتيَكم أَيضاً مغموماً. لأني إِنْ غممتُكم فمَنِ الذي يَسُرُّني غيرُ مَنْ عممتُه أَنا؟ وقد كتبتُ إِليكم بهذا عينِه، لئلاً ينالَني عندَ قدومي غمٌ مِمَّن كان ينبغي أَن أَفرحَ بهم. وإِني لواثقٌ بكم أَجمعين، أَنَّ فرحي هو فرحُكم جميعاً. فإِني من شِدَّةِ الكآبةِ وكَربِ القلب، كتبتُ اليكم بدموع كثيرة، لا لتغتمُّوا، بل لتعرفوا ما عندي من فرطِ المحبةِ لكم.

Gospel: Matthew 22: 2-14 - 14th Sunday of Pentecost (Parable of the Wedding Feast)

The Lord told this parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a king who made a marriage feast for his son. And he sent his servants to call in those invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants saying: ‘Tell those who are invited, behold. I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and fatlings arc killed, and everything is ready; come to the marriage feast.’ But they made light of it, and went off, one to his own farm and another to his business; and the rest laid hold of his servants treated them shamefully, and killed them. But when the king heard of it, he was angry; and he sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The marriage feast indeed is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy; go therefore to the crossroads, and invite to the marriage feast whomever you shall find.’ And his servants went out into the roads and gathered all those they found, both good and bad; and the marriage feast was filled with guests. Now the king went in to see the guests, and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment. And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, take hold of him, and throw him out into the darkness, where there will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.”

قال الربُّ هذا المثل: يُشبَّهُ ملَكوتُ السماواتِ بإِنسانٍ ملكٍ صنعَ عُرساً لابنهِ. وأَرسَلَ عبيدَهُ ليَدعُوا الَّمدعُوّينَ إِلى العُرس، فلَم يُريدوا أَن يَأْتُوا. فأَرسلَ من جديدٍ عبيداً آخرين وقال: قُولوا للمَدعُوّين، ها إِني قد أَعددتُ غدائي، ثيراني ومُسَمَّناتي قد ذُبِحتْ، وكلُّ شيءٍ مُهيَّأ، فهَلُمُّوا إِلى العرُس. ولكنهم تهاوَنوا، فذَهبَ هذا الى حقلهِ الخاصّ، وذاكَ إِلى تِجارتهِ، والباقون قبضوا على عبيدِهِ فشَتموهم وقتَلوهم. فلمَّا سمِعَ ذلك الملكُ غضِبَ، وأَرسلَ جُيوشَهُ فأَهلكَ أُولئك القتلة، وأَحرقَ مدينَتهُم. حينئذٍ قالَ لعبيدِه: أَما العرسُ فمُعَدٌّ، وأَمَّا المدعُوُّون فغيرُ مستحِقّين. فاذهبوا إِلى مفارقِ الطُّرقِ، وكلُّ مَن وجدتُموهُ فأدعوهُ الى العُرس. فخَرجَ أُولئِكَ العبيدُ ال الطُّرُق، وجمعوا كلَّ مَن وَجَدوا مِن أَشرارٍ وصالحين، فحفَلَ العُرسُ بالمتَّكِين. فلمَّا دخَل الملِكُ لينظُرَ المتكئين، رأَى هُناكَ إِنساناً ليس عليهِ حُلَّهُ العُرس. فقال لهُ: يا صاحِ، كيف دَخلْتَ إِلى ههُنا، وليس عليك حُلَّهُ العُرس؟ فسكَت. حينئذٍ قال الملِكُ للخُدَّام: أَوثقوا يدَيهِ ورِجليةِ وخُذوهُ وأطرَحوهُ في الظُّلمةِ الخارجيَّة. هُناكَ يَكونُ البُكاءُ وصَريفُ الأَسنان. فإِنَّ المدعُوّينَ كثيرون، والمختارِينَ قليلون.

The women disciples of the Lord, having learned from the angel the joyful announcement of the resurrection, and having rejected the ancestral sentence, proudly told the apostles: Death is despoiled. Christ God is risen, bestowing to the world great mercy.”

إن تلميذات الرب تعلمنَ من الملاكِ بشرى القيامةِ البهيجة. ونبذنَ القضاءَ على الجدين، وقلن للرسلِ مفتخراتٍ: لقد سُلب الموت، ونهض المسيحُ الاله، واهباً للعالمِ عظيمَ الرحمة.

Troparion of the Dormition: (Tone 1)
In giving birth you have preserved your virginity and in falling asleep you did not forsake the world, O Mother of God. You have passed to life being the Mother of Life. Through your intercession, save our souls from death

Neither death nor the tomb could hold the Mother of God, our watchful Protectress and our unfailing hope. Since she is the Mother of Life. Christ who dwelt in her ever-virginal womb lifted her up to the eternal life

قنداق الختام لرقاد العذراء باللحن الثاني
ان والدةََ الالهِ التي لا تَكُفُ عن الشفاعة، والرجاءَ الوطيدَ في النَجدات، لم يَضْبِطْها قبرٌ ولا موتٌ. بل بما أَنها امُّ الحياة، نقلَها الى الحياةِ من سكنَ في مستودَعها الدائمِ البتوليَّة.

BRETHREN, watch, stand fast in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let everything you do he done out of love.
Now, I beg you, brethren: you know that the members of Stephanas’ family are the first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. To such as these, you too be come subject, and to every helper and worker. I rejoice at the presence of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because what was lacking on your part they have supplied — for they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. To such as these, therefore, give recognition.
The churches of Asia greet you. Acuila and Priscilla with the church at their house greet you heartily iii the Lord. All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
I, Paul, greet you with my own hand. If any man does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him he accursed. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. My love is with all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.

الرسالة (1 كورنثس 16: 13 -24)
يا اخوة، أسهروا، أثبتوا في الايمان، كونوا رجالا ً، تشددوا. لتمكُنْ أموركم كلها بمحبة. وأطلبُ اليكم أَيها الاخوة، بما انكم تعرفونَ بيتَ اسْتِفانا، انه باكورةُ أَكائية، وقد خصَّصوا أَنفسَهم لخدمةِ القدّيسين، أَن تكونوا أَنتم أَيضاً مطاوِعينَ لمثل هؤلاءِ، ولكلِّ من يُعلونُهم ويتعب. إني أَفرحُ بحضور استِفانا وفَرْتُناتُس وأَخائِكس، لأنهم سدُّوا ما أَخلَلُتم به. فأَراحوا روحي وروحَكم. فأعرِفوا مثلَ هؤلاء. تُسَلّمُ عليكم كنائسُ آسية، يُسَلّمُ عليكم في الربِ كثيراً أَكيلا وبَرِسْكِلَّةُ، مع الكنيسةِ التي في بيتِهما. يُسلّم عليكم جميعُ الاخوة. سلّموا بعضُكم على بعضٍ بقُبلةٍ مقدَّسة. السلامُ بخطّ يدي أَنا بولس. ان كانَ أَحدٌ لا يُحبُّ ربَّنا يسوعَ المسيح فليكن مُبْسَلاً."مارانْ أَثا". نعمةُ ربِنا يسوعَ المسيحِ معكم. محبَّتي معكم أَجمعينَ في المسيحِ يسوع، آمين.

استَلَّ وسِرّ الى الامام، واملك في سبيلِ الحقِ والدعةِ والبرّ، فتهديكَ يمينُك هدياً عجيباً
أَحببتَ البرَّ وأَبغضتَ الإِثم، لذلكَ مسحَكَ اللهُ الهُك بدُهنِ البهجةِ أَفضلَ من شركائِك.

Gospel: Matthew 21:33-42 - The Parable of the Criminal Tenant

The Lord told this parable: “There was a man, a landowner, who planted a vineyard, and put a hedge around it, and dug a wine vat in it, and built a tower; then he leased it to the vine-dressers, and went abroad. But when the fruit season drew near, he sent his servants to the vine-dressers to receive his fruits. And the vine-dressers seized his servants, and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent another party of servants more numerous than the first; and they did the same to these. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But the vine-dressers, on seeing the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and we shall have his inheritance.’ So they seized him, cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. When, therefore, the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-dressers?” They said to him, “He will utterly destroy those evil men, and will lease the vineyard to other vine-dressers, who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The Stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone; by the Lord this has been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’”

قال الربُّ هذا المْثَل: انسانٌ سيّدُ بيتٍ غرَسَ كَرْماً، وحوَّطهُ بسياجٍ، وحفَر فيهِ مَعصَرة، وبنى بُرجاً، وسلَّمهُ الى كرَّامين وسافَر. فلمَّا قََرُبَ أَوانُ الِثمار، أَرسل عبيدهُ الى الكرَّامينَ ليأْخُذوا ثِمارَه. فأَخذ الكرَّامُون عبيدَه، فجلَدوا بعضاً وقتَلوا بعضاً، ورجَموا بعضاً. فأَرسَلَ من جَديدٍ عبيداً آخرينَ أَكثرَ من الأَوَّلين، ففعَلوا بهِم كذلك. وفي الآخِر أَرسَلَ اليهمِ ابنَهُ، قائلاً: إِنَّهم سيَهابون ابني. فلمَّا رأَى الكرَّامونَ الابنَ قالوا في أَنفُسِهم. هذا هو الوارِث، تَعالَوا نَقتُلُهُ ونستُولي على ميراثِهِ. فأَخذوهُ وأَخرجوهُ خارجَ الكرمِ وقتَلوه. فإذا جاءَ ربُّ الكرمِ، فماذا يَفعلُ بأُولئكَ الكرَّمين؟ قالوا لهُ إنهُ يُميتُ أُولئِكَ الأَردِياءَ أَردأَ مِيتة. ويدفعُ الكَرْمَ إِلى كرَّامِينَ آخرِينَ يُؤَدُون اليه الثمرَ في أَوانِه. فقال لهم يسوع: أَماَ قرَأْتُم قطُّ في الكُتُب، إِنَّ الحجرَ الذي رذَلهُ البَنَّاؤُون هو صارَ رأْساً للزاوِية. من عندِ الربِِّ كانَ ذلك، وهو عجيبٌ في أَعيُنِنا؟

All human generations bless you, O Mother of God! The laws of nature were overcome in you, O pure Virgin: for your birth-giving left you a virgin, and your death became the herald of your life. O you who remained a virgin after giving birth, and alive after having died. O Mother of God. Deign always to save your inheritance.

نحنُ جميعُ الأجيالِ نغبطكِ. يا من هي وَحدها والدةُ الإله
ايتها البتولُ الطاهرة. إن نواميسَ الطبيعة نُقضتْ فيكِ. لأن الولادة لم تَثْلِمْ فيكِ البتولية. والموتَ صار لكِ عُربوناً للحياة. فيا والدةَ الاله. يا مَن هيَ بعدَ الوِلادةِ بتولٌ وبعدَ الموتِ حيَّة. خلصي ميراثكِ دائمًا.
