Bible verse
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Psalms 145:18 (KJV)
Inspiration.
When we call on God in truth, He promises to be near. But what does it mean to call on Him in truth? We come to God seeking Him as He is, not as we simply want Him to be. God has revealed Himself in Jesus, who is the Truth. And He has given us the truth of His word so that we may know Him and call on Him.
Prayer
Lord, in my selfishness and pride, I sometimes forget that You are God and I am not. Thank You for revealing to me, through Jesus and through Your word, who You really are. I come before You with humility and in worship, desiring to know You better so that I may dwell freely in the power of Your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Mother's Day Reflections
(Mother's Day Prayer)
I am a Christian mother and daughter so l have celebrated mother's day in the Christian calendar which comes up Sunday before Easter. Respectfully speaking l have been trying to make sense of this other Mother's Day celebration of today, but as an obedient, loyal child of the Most High as commanded l have to respect authority. Scripture also said we should pray and make intercession for all in authority as to live a quiet and peaceful life. Above all, there is a saying that when you are in Rome, behave like the Roman. Therefore, whether l make sense of it or not, l have to obey and do the needful.

Scripture says, we should pray for the prosperity of the place where we find ourselves as to prosper ourselves. To celebrate this Mother's Day as a mother and daughter l want to pray for America. l pray for the peace and prosperity of America. I pray that America will be great in glory, wealth and strength again.

I pray that violence, hatred, prejudices will cease and destructions will never be heard again within the border of America. I pray America back to God as a nation under God again in truth and in spirit. I pray for the reign of righteousness all over the land from sea to sea and from shore to shore. I pray against everything that Almighty God have not planted in America to be uprooted, everything destroying the greatness of America be destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray that everyone shall be truly free in mind, body, soul, and spirit. I pray for mental stability. I pray for healing in bodies, soul, and spirit. I break every stronghold of sickness, infirmities, viruses, diseases, addictions. I release the power of God by His Spirit to visit every man, woman, and child, and l pray that God will heal America and turn His face towards the land, the government, and the people for good again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate mothers today, I pray that mothers in America will be mothers indeed, they will know their divine assigned roles, to train, care, and nurture the lives God has committed to them in the right parts.

Thank You LORD. Thank You Father because You are faithful to keep Your promises. Thank You Almighty God because You said when we call, You will answer and show us great and mighty things. Thank You, because by this time next year if Jesus tarries, we shall return to give You praise and glory for the great things You will yet do. Blessed be Your holy name forever ABBA Father in Jesus unchallengeable name l pray, amen and amen 🙏

My Devotional For Today l Love To Share.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2Peter 3:10 (KJV)

It’s easy to take our eyes off of eternity, and become consumed with day-to-day life. But Jesus reminds us that the things of this earth are temporary, here for a season and then gone in a flash. So let us prepare for Jesus’ return by living as His kingdom people now, doing good in His name, sharing His love and grace, so that when He comes, we are ready, and others may be ready, too.

Say this prayer.
Lord, sometimes I get distracted by the cares of life, and neglect the kingdom work that You have called me to. Renew my sense of urgency to proclaim the good news and share Your grace with others. Empower me to live in a way that always testifies to Your love and Your grace, so that You may draw others to Yourself through me. In Jesus’ name, amen.🙏

Sunday Morning Reflections
We are like the Fig tree in the Bible. God expects us to bear fruits in and out of season.
We are not just to grow large and full of leaves, but to be productive at all times, even at our lowest God still expects us to be fruitful, instant, relevant, and productive to His glory and for the good of others.

There are two accounts about the fig tree, one a parable, the other a real-time event of Jesus after His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Different accounts with the same message, and expectations, for us to bear fruits, be productive, be instant in doing the will of God.

The parable in Luke, Jesus told a story about the owner of a Vinyard of fig trees, who came every year to harvest but finds nothing. In frustration, he ordered the vinedresser to cut down the trees for encumbering space and producing nothing.

In Mark's account of real-time event, Jesus was hungry, yes, l said, Jesus was hungry and when He saw the fig tree full of leaves, fresh and full. Scripture says, He happily came to it thinking to find something to eat but found nothing. Jesus was disappointed and said to the tree, for having no fruits despite many fresh leaves, may no man henceforth eat from you, and immediately the root dried up.

We are worth something, every one of us is here on earth, in our families, offices, churches, wherever else we find ourselves for a reason. we therefore need to find out why, and make our lives count for the purpose for which we are where we find ourselves.

The next time Jesus was in that place which was the next day, His disciples drew His attention to the dead tree, which had dried up from the roots. Jesus's response should make every true child of God pause to think about who we really are, the effects of our lives on others, and in the places we find ourselves.

When Peter pointed to the dried tree, Jesus said unto them, "Have faith in God." He went on to teach them on faith, forgiveness, prayer, asking and receiving, you may read the whole chapters of Mark 11 and Luke 13 (KJV)

Like the Fig tree in both accounts the same fate awaits every tree that bringeth not forth fruits, may the LORD help us, and give us understanding, that we suffer no loss in our walk with Him. Amen and amen
🙏
Happy Sunday everyone.

Sunday Reflections
Ministry is not only on the pulpit, but to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ throughout the world, we are called to serve others and not to be served, saved to serve and save others.

True ministry and religion is not to visit only, but to work in the hospitals, prisons, facilities for the motherless, rehabilitation centers, marketplaces, schools, homes for the elderly etc.

Three times Jesus asked apostle Peter: "lovest thou me more than these...?" (power, fame, recognition, riches, popularity, accolades, the world) In response to apostle Peter's reply, Jesus gave him the responsibility to FEED (care for) His sheep.

Today, He is asking us also as it were, if we love Him more than these...? Like Peter it is left for us how we respond. Life's journey is an individual one, we are all on this journey, doing it alongside different kinds of people at one time or the other, but we coast home individually at the end.

The road for the journey is so narrow that we have to seek to find it, and we can not carry anything or anyone, everyone is responsible for him or herself, our choices and consequences.

We don't choose the family we are born into, nor the parents who gave birth to us, neither do we choose our siblings, but we are responsible for the choices we make on how we turn out and where we ultimately end up.

Jesus said we are the light of the world, a city set on an hill that cannot be hid, He said let that light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

As a songwriter wrote, may we take our lights and go light up the world in Jesus name, amen and amen 🙏

My Devotional From The NIV (New International Version) Bible For Today.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1Timothy 4:12

How do you command respect of others when you are young? You don't! You earn that respect by the character and quality of your life.
Those of us who are older must recognize and validate younger Christians who are people of character and faith.
Those of us who are younger need to live a life of character that can not be questioned.
Character, morality, faith, and loving kindness are essential attributes of the Christian, no matter his or her age.

Holy God l thank You for those in our church family who are young and stand for Your character and living godly lives despite pressure from their peers to do otherwise.
Father, l also thank You for those who are older in faith, who have given me a chance to use my gifts and who have influenced and encouraged me in my spiritual growth. Please help us keep our church united in mission and purpose across the different age groups, to Your glory and for the growth of your kingdom in Jesus name l pray. Amen 🙏

Monday Reflections
Thoughts to kick start a great week.

Do You.
See, let nothing and no one define who you are, strive to be you by being your authentic self. Regardless of how you look and feel, it does not change who God has made you to be.

In the beginning, after you were created, He looked at you and said with pride, "You are very good." Futher in scripture He says it even better that we are fearfully and wonderfully made... now that's the only validation you, and l need to make it through every single day.

Circumstances and people in life come and go. We are all we have. Nothing is forever. Time and chance happens, what is today will or may not be tomorrow, you are all you have, so be in touch with yourself, breathe, be at peace with yourself, the REAL you, and not the side you want people to see.

We can fool people, but we can not fool ourselves. No one will accept us if we don't accept ourselves first, which will make it impossible for us to have the good, successful, and fulfilled life we all seek.

People may demand and ask us to be in a certain way to belong, fit in and be accepted, know that if they will not accept you the way you are, they will not accept what you become in time. So, always chose you, do you, be you, love you, wear you, walk in your shoes tall, bold, loud, and clear.

See, when you love yourself enough, everyone will have no choice but to love you, but it begins with you, walk alone if you have to. Everything is possible to them that believe.

You make people believe you when you believe in yourself enough and not when you want to be like everyone else. The call is to be a STANDARD, not a difference in the pack to create the needed shift.

As we begin this new week, which promises to be great in every way as made, and ordained by the One who loves us and has brought us thus far, let these thoughts resonate with us, we can not give what we do not have and we can never be anything other than what we have been given, and created to be, regardless.

God loves you and so do l. Shalom 😊

Good Friday Reflections.
What is so good about Good Friday.
(a long read alert >>>)

Like many people, l also have wondered and asked this question growing up, the Holy Week and especially Good Friday has always always been a solemn, sobering, and very sad day, still is and will be for me. As an adult, however, I now know a little better, l have seemingly better understanding and perspectives about the Holy Week and especially Good Friday.

That now in my sorrow, l am so thankful, in my anguish, I see hope in faith, l see a demonstration of love and sacrifice. For God "so" love the world that He allowed Himself in Jesus Christ to go through indescribable torture, torment and sorrows. That is what is so "good" about Good Friday in my thinking. What was meant for evil turned into a mighty good for eternity. In one word now l will say, what's so good about Good Friday for me is Salvation.

It is written: "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." John 10:9-16 (KJV)

Christianity.com wrote:
What is Good Friday, and why do we call Good Friday “good” when it is such a dark and bleak event commemorating a day of suffering and death for Jesus?
Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, is the Christian day to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary. This Christian holiday is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, and Black Friday.

For Christians, Good Friday is an important day of the year because it celebrates what we believe to be the most momentous weekend in the history of the world. Ever since Jesus died and was raised, Christians have proclaimed the cross and resurrection of Jesus to be the decisive turning point for all creation. Paul considered it “of first importance” that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day, following what God had promised in the Scriptures

"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

On Good Friday, we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). Easter follows it, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to him by faith (Romans 6:5).

Why Is it called 'Good' Friday?
Still, why call the day of Jesus’ death “Good Friday” instead of “Bad Friday” or something similar? Some Christian traditions do take this approach: in German, for example, the day is called Karfreitag, or “Sorrowful Friday.” In English, the origin of the term “Good” is debated: some believe it developed from an older name, “God’s Friday.” Regardless of the origin, the name Good Friday is entirely appropriate because the suffering and death of Jesus, as terrible as it was, marked the dramatic culmination of God’s plan to save his people from their sins.

For the gospel's good news to have meaning for us, we first have to understand the bad news of our condition as sinful people under condemnation. The good news of deliverance only makes sense once we see how we are enslaved. Another way of saying this is that it is essential to understand and distinguish between law and gospel in Scripture. We need the law first to show us how hopeless our condition is; then, the gospel of Jesus’ grace brings us relief and salvation.

In the same way, Good Friday is “good” because as terrible as that day was, it had to happen for us to receive the joy of Easter. The wrath of God against sin had to be poured out on Jesus, the perfect sacrificial substitute, for forgiveness and salvation to be poured out to the nations. Without that awful day of suffering, sorrow, and shed blood at the cross, God could not be both “just and the justifier” of those who trust in Jesus (Romans 3:26). Paradoxically, the day that seemed to be the greatest triumph of evil was actually the death blow in God’s gloriously good plan to redeem the world from bo***ge.

The cross is where we see the convergence of great suffering and God’s forgiveness. Psalms 85:10 sings of a day when “righteousness and peace” will “kiss each other.” The cross of Jesus is where that occurred, where God’s demands, his righteousness, coincided with his mercy. We receive divine forgiveness, mercy, and peace because Jesus willingly took our divine punishment, the result of God’s righteousness against sin. “For the joy set before him” (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus endured the cross on Good Friday, knowing it led to his resurrection, our salvation, and the beginning of God’s reign of righteousness and peace.

Good Friday marked the day when wrath and mercy met at the cross. That’s why Good Friday is so dark and so Good. Hallelujah! Glory to God 🙏

Holy Week Reflections
How To Please God.
(a long read alert >>>)

It is Holy Week, a time when mankind reflects on the supreme sacrifice that Almighty God made to demonstrate His love and ultimate desire for His creation through the earthly ministry, death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of the world.

It is also a time l think mankind should reflect on how to commit to and reciprocate so great a sacrifice and depth of love which the Father so graciously lavished on mankind despite who we are in our fallen state.

Scripture says Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1John 3:1-3 (KJV)

During the Holy Week, as we commemorate and reflect and fix our eyes on the Cross, which is the symbol of the Father's love and restitutional sacrifice for mankind, l want us to also think about what this week really mean to us individually, collectively and what we can do to show, we understand, appreciate and are committed to be the people He wants us to be by grace.

Today, we will be looking at how, to please God. This, in my thinking, begins with the knowledge of who the Father is, what He has done, and what He expects from us. To help us in this, Father God has given us CONSCIENCE, this is the place from which He tells us His mind, it is the place He talks to us, it the place He shows us right or wrong, and also where we are tested by the enemy of our souls.

Today which is the beginning of the Holy Week, we want to reflect on our conscience which l call the seat of Almighty God. It is important we start here when talking about how to please God, it is important to reflect on the conscience at a time like this when darkness seems to cover the earth, and the love of many has or is waxing cold by the day. If God has given us conscience from where we should know good from bad, then it is a good place to start if we want to truly please God not only during the Holy Week, but everyday of our lives.

At one time or the other, we had had to plead to the conscience of someone or even questioned if we have conscience in the way and manner we deal with ourselves and each other. Especially in the time and age we are in, it is of great importance as a matter of urgency to bring our conscience in check to see if we can still feel what we should feel, or why we act in certain ways.

It is written "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." Proverbs 20:27 (KJV)
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) and
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 (KJV)

Dictionary says, Conscience is an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one's behavior. For example,
"he had a guilty conscience about his desires" and scripture also says that Conscience is that "Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel." Romans 2:15&16 (KJV)
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 1Timothy 1:18-19 (KJV)

Surprising to see that as touching conscience scripture and the world agrees, and suffice it to say that conscience is also the battle ground for the soul of man and scripture says many have already made shipwreck and the conscience of many have been seared as it were with hot iron, burnt out of every rational human feelings, thinking and touch. As it is said "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men."

Today as we begin the Holy Week, let us reflect on the state of our conscience and what we do daily. Father God is saying to us to check our heart condition for from it is everything that pertains to life and godliness. N.H. Rev. Graham wrote Yes, God has put within each of us a conscience — an inner sense of right and wrong. When King Solomon rebuked someone who had wronged his father, he said, “You know in your heart all the wrong you did” (1 Kings 2:44). We too know all we are doing, and I say to us today, God has put in each and everyone of us conscience to show us right from wrong, and it is left to us what we do with it.

Someone wrote The conscience is defined as that part of the human psyche that induces mental anguish and feelings of guilt when we violate it and feelings of pleasure and well-being when our actions, thoughts and words are in conformity to our value systems. The Greek word translated “conscience” in all New Testament references is suneidēsis, meaning “moral awareness” or “moral consciousness.” The conscience reacts when one’s actions, thoughts, and words conform to, or are contrary to, a standard of right and wrong. So we are without excuse.

Just the way we all desire good things, l wish we can also truly allow the prompting of our conscience, which for me, is the still small Voice, it is the Voice we are to hear saying to us this is the way, walk therein. It is what we humans call intuition, that push in our spirit telling us to always do the right thing and to choose good over evil. I wish during this week and going forward we will heed the Spirit's call through our conscience to do right, walk right, think right, speak right by the grace that this week affords, for then and only then the earth will be what we want it to be. What is good is good and what is bad is bad, we must make the choice. Selah.
Greetings with love 😊
