SATAN has many weapons to destroy our lives, and one of those weapons is using HUMAN PERSONALITIES. Satan uses different people to pull you away from GOD’S PURPOSE.
Satan can even use the people around you. He may use your FAMILY, your FRIENDS, your ENEMIES, and sometimes even STRANGERS. He will do everything possible to separate you from GOD.
These people are not always obvious sinners. Sometimes it can even be a FALSE RELIGIOUS LEADER. According to the BIBLE, Satan himself was once an ANGEL OF LIGHT. This means that even today many people may appear kind, gentle, and good on the outside. They may seem to do good works, but their hearts may not truly be close to GOD. They may look good in the eyes of people, but not in the eyes of GOD.
That is why you must choose the people around you wisely. Pay attention to who is leading you closer to GOD and who is pulling you toward WORLDLY THINGS.
Do not accept anyone’s ADVICE, COUNSEL, or PROPHECY unless it agrees with the written WORD OF GOD. Do not admire or follow the leadership of people whose lives do not line up with GOD’S WORD. Remember, you will only remain successful as long as you continue walking in GOD’S PLAN for your life.
In ACTS 5:29 it is written:
“We ought to obey GOD rather than men.”
And in EPHESIANS 5:1 it says:
“Therefore be imitators of GOD, as dear children.”
A simple way to recognize the right people is this:
A person who truly knows GOD’S WORD will lead you closer to GOD. They will strengthen you in the SCRIPTURES, help you grow spiritually, and encourage your relationship with the LORD.
But a worldly person will pull you closer to the WORLD. They will focus more on worldly relationships, worldly desires, and MONEY. Through this, you can recognize what kind of ENVIRONMENT surrounds you.
If we look at GOSPEL OF JOHN 6:66, it says:
“From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.”
Even today many people come into MINISTRY, but when they are required to change their lives, give time to GOD, or surrender their own desires, their faith becomes weak. They fear that if they give more time to GOD, they may lose financially or fall behind in the world.
But they do not understand the mystery written in GOD’S WORD:
“Seek first the KINGDOM OF GOD and His RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all these things shall be added to you.”
In GOSPEL OF MARK 8:31–33, we see that Satan tried to use PETER to stop JESUS CHRIST from fulfilling GOD’S PLAN. But Jesus immediately recognized the spiritual attack. From this we learn that sometimes even people close to us can be used by Satan to pull us away from GOD’S WILL.
This is all a matter of FAITH.

Examine your ENVIRONMENT carefully. Look at your FRIENDSHIPS and GATHERINGS. Ask yourself:
Are they leading you closer to GOD, or farther away from Him?
