God! There were hidden marital battles during that season that my church members never saw. Battles that made me run, battles I kept away from the public for years.
Nobody knew what was really going on behind the scenes.
But today, what was once a painful chapter has become history and a testimony.
I hid it from my members for years because some battles are ministerial battles. Not every battle should be announced from the pulpit. Some battles are fought privately, through prayer, wisdom, patience, maturity, and the grace of God.
Those experiences happened for a reason: to prepare me to counsel you today.
As a pastor, a minister, or a prophet, take note of this:
Your first ministry is your marriage.
If you can build, protect, and conquer the battles within your home, you will have greater strength to break forth in ministry.
It may take years to pay the price of making your marriage work and stand strong, but believe me, it is worth it.
Divorce is not always the answer. Sometimes, what is needed is wisdom, spiritual maturity, patience, communication, prayer, and the willingness to work through the difficult seasons.
Only strong women will truly understand this.
Your physical appearance, your strength, your hustle, or how independent you are does not automatically make you a strong woman.
Wisdom makes a woman strong.
Your marital sense, your discernment, your ability to manage your home, your understanding of seasons, and your spiritual focus are also measures of strength.
Therefore, woman of God be spiritually focused.
Learn to fight for what God has committed into your hands.
Some battles you survive today may become the very testimony that gives you the wisdom to help someone else tomorrow.
What almost broke you can become the wisdom with which you build others.
